    Fem hroth rigging problems?

I don't know if this is just me but it feels like fem hroth rigging on a lot of armor sets are. . . unfinished?
The proto ultima horns looks like 10x larger on femhroth heads for one example, and shoulderpads on most armor looks way WAY too big, gauntlets seem abnormally large too
considering they are similar in proportion to femroes it feels very very weird to put on armor on it looking way too big

Yup, noticed the exact same thing!
Here's a comparison of the Martial Artist's Vest and the Martial Artist's Sleeveless Vest:

    Vs Sleeveless:

As we can see, the muscles around the shoulder and biceps become much bigger when wearing anything with sleeves.
My guess is that the femgar model is based on one of the male models. The rigging is honestly great from the waist down, but anything that goes over the arms or the shoulders looks unnaturally big.
This also leads to the head looking too small. I think it's actually the right size, it's just that the immediate shoulder area is too big to fit with the rest of the body.

I wonder how hard it is to change the rigging once in place. I would very much like to see the arms and shoulders reduced a bit if possible.

my thoughts exactly, forearms also look really huge with a lot of gauntlets too
I'm thinking it has to be an oversight, because some gear looks fine but others straight up look like what happens when you put an NPC's armor (we'll use Gaius for example) on a character/race model not meant for it. Just looks weirdly stretched out

I agree. There's a lot of small things I've noticed that seems wrong/off about Hrothgals. I hope they can fix this eventually. The outfits without sleeves also clip like crazy when you character moves their arms at all.

Unfortunately pretty much everything that covers the shoulders/arms gets blown up to ridiculous proportions. I already noticed this when previewing the gearsets in the benchmark, but for some reason I thought this wouldn't make it past QA and end up in the actual release :'D

    A couple examples:

I especially hate how every single long glove/sleeve is now really baggy at the top:

These fit a lot more snugly on other races.

Also the black summer halter straight up clips into my collarbone:

And this isn't really the thread for it, but while I am complaining, the toenails on the femhroth sandals don't dye correctly, the small toenail is super dark compared to the others:

Seeing this makes me wonder if they slapped the stretched out rig from male hroths onto the females and just didn't get to touching up a lot of it to make it fit more snug and proper due time constraints. Have noticed that's how most hroth gear looks like - a really stretched out version of what it is on anyone else.

Having to resize and adjust a decade of clothing for a new race is such a titanic task , I really wish they spent more time on them instead of just throwing them out so quickly. Hrothgar and Viera still feel unfinished even after all these years due to lack of hairstyles , hats???? , and now this funky look for hrothgal gear. :/

ngl I love the exaggerated shoulders and arms, it's something unique for the race, gives them a sense of power and feels like a throwback to akihiko yoshida's early ivalice design proportions

I'd be less interested in playing a femhroth if they didn't have it

I don't have a screenshot but my favorite gear the scorpion harness also got hit with the giant shoulder pads.
The Shoulder pads on any of the gear doesn't need to be made very small or anything. Just small enough to mostly avoid the worst clipping.
Like any time when lifting arms above their heads in cutscenes or emotes, ETC.

Ye I'm in the same boat, the poofy sleeves look really good imo? , Especially on heavier armors.
The clipping and misplacement tho really looks bad :x Proabably would want to submit a bug report for that~
