"Glare" graphics setting not working as expected

Steps:
1. Open system configuration/graphics settings
2. Toggle "Glare" settings
3. There is no difference in the intensity or presence of the glowing "bloom" effect around light sources, which this setting served to control prior to Dawntrail.

I don't recall if there was a separate option to fully disable the effect, but it could regardless be disabled via the glare setting. At present, with the bloom effect, the game is difficult for me to look at, and the setting seems to make no difference at all.

Came here to see if anyone else was noticing the same thing. You're not alone unfortunately. The bloom in this game looks awful.

Prior to 7.0 you could disable the glowing effect under Graphics Settings > General > Glare > Off. As of the new patch though, the setting appears to do absolutely nothing.

I'm really hoping this is just a bug and it gets fixed quickly. Shame the beautiful new graphicss update has to be ruined by bad glow effects.

I am having same the same issue. I have light sensitivity and was able to turn glare off during free trial. I preordered and was looking forward to playing but the glare option does not work at all. I hope they will fix the glare issue soon so I can play safely.
