Can't lock in the "tell" function anymore?

So before DT came out we were able to "lock in" the person we were sending a "tell" to. Basically it was a nice quality of life feature that made it so that whenever we typed something on our keyboard and pressed enter it would always send it to that specific person via "tell" (private text).

Now we can't no longer do this.

We can still send "tells" of course but we have to manually pick the person we want to send the tell to every single time we want to send them a message.

Why did they remove this feature?

Having to manually always pick the person who you want to private chat with every single time you type something is very annoying so it's just odd that they decided to remove this "feature".

It also makes it impossible to link things since it reset back to the last default chat if you interact with anything outside of the window.

Ah ok! So it's not just me then. I was thinking maybe it was just some setting that I need to turn back on? But I guess not.

Can confirm having this issue, wildly annoying if you're getting multiple tells from people it's easy to send mistells
