Wow, Wuk Lamat is really single-handedly ruining the DT story...

That is just a pathetic excuse, the voice is absolutely nice, it is just because it goes by a none American/English accent you complain, if sound annoys you, you can turn it off too you know?

Am happy for once not listening to some near perfect scholar voice all the time... English or American but more like something else.

This is the first time I have ever felt the need to change the voices from EN to JP. It has taken me completely out of caring for whatever is left of the story as im sure it is just more following Wuk around and having her be the WoL for this expansion.

Make all the excuses you want for a terribly written and voiced character, I will not.

First of all i Like the New World and The setting BUT why We as The WoL (who literally saved The world) have to babysit that brat and why The hell We are Just her Sidekick? I enjoyed every Expansion so far but this character Ruins everything....

In my opinion We should have our own Kingdom/Empire by now... Just my two Cents..

Wouldn't be a new expansion without a thread like it! Looking forward to the character apologetics in 5 years when another hit/miss new character is bringing about the fall of Western civilization.

But I would probably avoid trotting out the 'just consume product' line while trying to defend the valor of a thread where we've got people who hated Endwalker, hated 6.x, and are now here to die on the hill of a character in Dawntrail being the worst writing since the dawn of mankind. Eventually, you've gotta come to terms with what you're repeatedly paying for.

Ive been taking it from a different approach. I've been taking it from a FFX approach where we are her Guardians and helping her ascend to the throne, similar to how in FFX they helped Yuna obtain all the summons.

And instead of playing through the MSQ straight. I have been doing alot of side quests along the way to make the story more about my WOL and not what SE wants which is to make Wuk Lamat the main character. I mean they even made her a WAR for main character energy.

If this many people dislike the story then that simply means they will go with a different direction in 8.0

You are right, Played in 1.0, the alpha and beta for 2.0, through 2.0 till now (on and off of course) and I can safely say im probably done until they do a rewrite of this expansion and recast Wuk.

It really is sad but here we are. SE killing their "story" mmo by having a -redacted- story, genius.
