doesn't take hyper-zooming to see the differences lmao but it's ok if some of you can't see the differences. the people who can, however, will be the ones to mention it for you

Agreed. I've lost motivation to play the game anymore with how my WoL looks now
nojust.. please. for the love of god. i am certain everyone will stop complaining and be happy if there was a toggle or the option to go back to the old graphics. surely it can be done, even if it's just for the characters especially if it's just the old textures we want?
even if it can only be seen on the player's end. or at least give us access to the old models so it doesn't feel like our characters had been ripped away from us
( Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters.)
I don't care about how lashes in my character looks, i just want to play game and i can't because of this new graphics update. So i'll be happy if they returned old graphics when everything was working just fine!

Hard to enjoy the new story when my character looks dumb in every cutscene cause they changed all her facial features for no reason. Her nose bulges when she frowns. Every one of my characters that has some color to their skin looks waxy or dipped in oil.
I like the new graphics in general, but on the other hand I hate that my character was butchered into an unrecognizable state. I'm still hesitating to start the MSQ because don't feel attached to my character anymore and I'm afraid it will influence my experience of the story. I want to enjoy it, and not be distracted with my character being off.
Even tho I like the graphics, anything that gives more options im in favor for. (just don't take away the update as there are just as many people that like it than people that don't)
i'm with you, face friend. very disappointing, my femroe looks so sleepy and detached now. where's that great glint of determination that made me choose the face in the first place?!

It's unlikely to happen because they clearly did something to either streamline the auto lipsync otherwise they wouldn't have needed everyone to have the same lip shapes.
If it was merely "just a texture overhaul" then you'd be looking at a feature to switch it in the launcher and not download the extra 60GB's.
That said, if people gripe about it hard enough maybe SE will "undo" this "one lips for everyone", but I don't see them backpedalling on it. If you recall the upgrade from the 32-bit to the 64-bit version and the dropping of the DX9 version, those didn't result in people going "but muh GTX 560". Rather it just resulted in a much of people with junk graphics cards having the cards fail because they've never actually been taxed hard enough because people were playing DX9 games not DX11.
But in this case, there is no actual change to the graphics API, rather they changed a lot of the lighting systems. Which means that running "two versions" of the game with different assets is impossible, it would be impossible past one patch since they would have to test everything twice, and effectively expense more time in doing so. So I don't see very much happening in this front.
At best, they may listen to some of the feedback and we get fixes in 8.0 but really this is a problem that originated in 2.0, when they made hyur and miqo'te share the same gear. So they apparently made it so now they also share the head model or something. I'm not going to do much more investigation on that part, but suffice it to say, I feel a lot of missing variety in heads IS a direct consequence of them not wanting to build new ones. So perhaps that is what has happened. They maybe used the same head model for Hyur, Miqo'te and Au Ra and just tried to hammer in separate race modifiers. Suffice it to say many players noticed, even in the DT 1.0 benchmark that the face looks wrong.
