If having a, say, split download for the graphics (choosing between EW and DT graphics in the launcher) was not possible, something I would personally appreciate is if they added the old facial features alongside the new ones and made mayhap made some of the new features such as the glossy lips (and skin) optional instead. I wouldn't mind compromising on having a lower-poly face just as long as the character I am playing even remotely looks like my character again.

I too would rather they did not divert so much time and resources on a graphical update that I personally find wholly unnecessary and had instead focused on more more interesting additions and things that actually needed to be tweaked and fixed.

Now all of this company's bad decisions are coming to light just as shareholders are backing out and begging for a change. Square Enix is in its worst crisis since FFXIV 1.0 and The Spirits Within before that.
The game is financially struggling by... being the most successful MMO on the market right now? If there was a problem I don't think the old graphics were it.
