I do find it funny the opinions on the new graphics iranges from
A: It hurts the eyes, causes strain
to
B: You can't see a difference
nomrally im not in agreement with you. but after what theyve done to my aura. im borderline demanding this. i dont recognise him anymore. and i hate what theyve done to him

Sometimes it feels like im the only one happy with the Graphics update.
I had some eyestrain at the beginning but became used to the new graphics after a few hours.
Now i barely notice any strain.

Is there not an option for this? I was only online for a short while this morning and it’ll be some hours before I can go home, but I was looking through the settings and thought I saw one for HD textures that had a warning that a client restart would be necessary for changes to take effect.
I didn’t bother with it, but that sounds like what’s being asked for at a glance.
I think I'm looking pretty good

I do not get this whole eye strain argument, you can tell the textures have been improved mostly across the board and they have better lighting and shaders in place. I’m sure they’re improving old areas still in the expansions between ARR and DT each patch or something. Considering also by next expansion the people on ps4 and lower/mid pcs will be left behind again once they’re dropped once more. People on ps4 moaning have no right to really moan when in theory they should have just dropped support by now.
I don't usually go around telling people their opinions are awful, but hot damn that is one bad take right there.
If you were the person suddenly suffering from eye strain so bad that you couldn't play your favorite game anymore, wouldn't you want to try bringing light to the issue so that you wouldn't have to stop playing said game? It's not even about the graphics update itself: something has happened to the game that is literally causing massive amounts of eye strain for people. Old graphics vs new graphics be damned, we just want to be able to play the game again
I've been playing about 8 hours today, max graphics but shadow details reduced a bit, and DLSS turned off and set to FSR, but I don't have an AMD GPU.
I found DLSS lowered my score in the benchmark, so I think I've disabled it by setting to FSR.
No eye issues at all.
