Non-tradable spectacles :(

Alright, I admit, this was me trying to be smart and it turned out that I wasn’t, so forgive me my bitterness, but:

I bought up a fair few spectacles for my friends and I, thinking that they’d not want to run the variant dungeon from EW but would still want to get the rose-coloured spectacles with the cool 12-colour options (another can of worms entirely, but I digress!), but since I did not manage to get them all delivered out on that last day, (and couldn’t mail them, cause some of those friends are on other servers) I had them sitting in my inventory, ready to hand out when we all met up today.

HOWEVER, while the update in the patch-notes did say that the item would no longer be obtainable and instead be replaced with something else, and while it did say that you could still use the old items, it did not specify that these old items already obtained would no longer be tradable! ;___; I now have 4 pairs sitting in my inventory, and I’ve already used my own pair, and the calamity salvager apparently cannot convert the other ones to tradable items.

While it’s perfectly alright that it can’t just be upgraded to the new item, and while it’s also alright (I guess?) that it cannot be sold on the market-board, it’s a little sad that it didn’t specify that the item would not be able to be traded in game. :/

Is there any way to save this, or will I have to eat the loss and throw them out?

Same issue here. Except I bought 30 in advance. I can't convert them, so not only am I out quite a few mil, but my inv is clogged. The patch notes said they'd be convertable and tradable so i was hoping to convert them.

I also have an alt I use to keep hold of things for my Free Company which now has four pairs of the False Classic Spectacles I cannot give out.

Would it be possible to have them exchangeable as items too, so that we share them as we originally intended, please?

I've also been affected by this, I have extra pairs of the False Classic Spectacles and now they are seemingly useless - can't trade or sell them and can't swap them at Calamity Salvager for the new "The Faces We Wear - Classic Spectacles".

Surely this is not intended? The Calamity Salvager should be able to swap the item "False Classic Spectacles" in a player's inventory with the new Facewear item, "The Faces We Wear - Classic Spectacles".

Perhaps this would get a response in the bug report form. It seems like a bug to me, since they specifically mentioned previous items would be convertible and sellable in the patch notes.

This is actually a very good ide! I'll try doing a bug-report in the game and see if it just is a bug. If we're enough people doing that, it might just help? Are there any other ways to bring bugs to their attention? Here in the forums, perhaps?

"False Classic Spectacles" still Untradeable and Market Prohibited, and not able to be traded for the corresponding facewear item. Hopefully there is a resolution on these old Fashion Accessories at some point, it surely can't have been the intended design to have them rot in players' inventories.

Even just allowing a 1-for-1 exchange at the Calamity Salvager akin to the Speed Belt Exchange or countless similar items that are "bought" with another item would be a perfectly adequate resolution.

Still unable to do anything with these items in my inventory, can't sell them or trade them to other players or even deposit to my FC chest for friends to use them.
