Dawntrail Graphics Update - Eye Strain

Sent in a ticket the day before yesterday and have yet to get a response. Nothing new on the Lodestone either acknowledging the issue beyond housing. If the current state is currently things working as intended I will be canceling my subscription. No other game has made me feel this bad just playing it. From a dev team that prides itself on openness and communication, the lack of response feels like a slap in the face.

At the risk of sounding like a jaded old fart, that "openness and communication" has been a shell of its former self for quite a long while now. They stopped listening somewhere around Stormblood.

Anyway, if it wasn't up to me to keep this forum post alive, I'd cancel my subscription in an instant.

Bump, haven't had eye problems playing any other games.
I don't want to have to wait on external tools to try and play the game I paid for.. but I have more faith in a random kind soul than Square at this point lol

On pc here & NOTHING I do helps with the eye strain, have fiddled with game settings and monitor settings. If they insist on keeping it as-is I have no choice but to drop my sub as I will not pay for a game I can't play for more then like half an hour. (for the record, I used to be able to play for...inordinate amounts of time before the graphic "update")

I've always looked up to the devs for making the game very accessible for someone like me who prefers a controller because of my disabilities but knowing I might have to quit playing entirely really hurts after all the time and emotional investment I've put into the game

Just wanted to add that I felt it for the first time today.
Maybe my eyes right now are just tired, since different from most people here I didn't have it right away; but after playing like 2 hours, stopping for 2+, then playing for 2 more hours, I noticed how weird my eyes felt. Maybe doing Vanguard helped me, since it's so bright there.

Even with all of the tinkering you could allegedly do I can't get this thing to a 100% pain free spot. It's incredibly disheartening. If we don't hear anything substantial by the time this thread gets to 50 pages I'm dropping my sub. At least Endwalker was a good jumping-off point though.

I can't play this now without my eyes hurting after 15 min, after 2 hours I gotta lay down and rest my eyes because of the pain.
