Even people without color blindness/epilepsy/photosensitivity/etc have been having issues with the new content. I wonder how bad it'll have to get before they feel pressured to do anything. And back to page 1. Haven't touched any of the new content yet and I don't really feel like doing so either. The absolute ignorance on this issue is making me extremely angry. It feels like they don't even care at all, "Just stay silent until the problem is gone." .-.

Yea I've read some feedback on the new trial and it's effects being way over the top. I also looked at some vids from the new raids, even tho that this was quite a spoiler but I wanted to avoid the risk of sensory overload and I decided to pass on them as of now. The videos I can pause and look away, I can't do so in the raids themself and I dont want to be carried by others or appear like I am purposefully griefing the party or something. I also had severe problems with the previous trial as well which made me quite dizzy and caused a severe migraine that did last for around 1 day. Also had to skip through the final area and use autofollow on a friend of mine so i can get through the area without having to look at it. I am glad that I am not having that severe problems like others have in this thread. I still want to support the addition of more accessibility options that help to alleviate these problems. I really wish Square would listen more to the feedback and act accordingly before worse things happen... >_>
Boop!
yeah my best friend pretty much has to stop playing because of all the flashy. so uh yes please give us the settings SE

Just here to bump. I was in the reddit for another game and saw someone complain about getting motion sick and asking if anyone else did...
And of course my answer was no, because FFXIV 7.0 is the only game that has ever made me motion sick in my life.
Yes, it looks like sparks from a sparkler, not rain. It's especially bad in places where it can pour like North Shroud and Eastern Thanalan. It makes it super hard to see and the rain used to be so nice and relaxing =[I just want to add that I don't like the rain effect with the graphical update.
I don't know if it's the same for everyone, but here when rain is falling in any map it's just a bunch of white lines falling everywhere that feels more like graphical glitches than actual rain effect. It's so annoying.

Might as well bump again for visibility...

Solution to eye strain is to simply cancel sub, don't even bother checking news about 8.0 and suggest everyone to never try to pick up this game.
Stubborn devs have allergy to actually playtest what they implement.

Surprisingly can still post so...Back to the top with you!
Same on ps5. Looks ugly as sin and very distracting. I dunno who took one second glance even at it and thought that’s better. I hate in-game rain now.I just want to add that I don't like the rain effect with the graphical update.

There is definitely something... off. I have noticed it as well though I have not done much to try to alleviate it.
I was in the camp that we did not "need" a visual update to the game to begin with, but there seems to be very strong opinions about it. If there was a way to return to the "old", I would surely utilize it.
