Some people love to make fools of themselves and can't seem to read the room, that's one of them I guess.
That aside....
Thanks for the Deluge of Darkness flashbang in Chaotic, SE. I love it. I actually have to look away from my screen when that's going off.
Eyestrain thread - https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/501914-Dawntrail-Graphics-Update-Eye-Strain

Hey! Those are all real complaints I've seen about this graphics update- complaints made by people on this forum. How can you laugh at me? (Well- everything except hallucinations; everything else was real.) People made each of those complaints and were backed up, but it's funny when I make a post on it? Are you actually invalidating all of the posts made by others?

Still waiting for this to be acknowledged/addressed

What would you suggest they do? Go back to 2.0 (August 2013) resolution and stay there? Not everyone gets eye strain or motion sickness with this update. I'd wager that the vast majority are just fine with the changes. Not everyone sees zombie corpses when they see their new characters. The vast majority are fine with it.
But you're waiting and tapping your foot until they revert the change and go back to the original resolution. I guess it is time for this game to die. They should just change everything back to pre-Heavenward. If nothing ever changes in a game, no one will ever complain. Imagine how empty these forums would be without the following:
Hrothgar
Viera
Graphics Update
Dawntrail

Posting to bump the thread. When I thought about the fact that I was only completing certain dungeons bosses because I was not looking at them directly, was relying on memory and instinct, and that afterwards my eyes felt "tired" I decided there are better uses of my free time. Let us turn off the glare for a start please. After playing a bit more again hoping it's finally playable for me, I noticed that some content is still unbearable. Finally went through 7.1 MSQ and did the dungeon and I somewhat wish I didn't. Still haven't touched the alliance raid nor chaotic and I am very hesitant to do so, especially when the dungeon bosses were hard to look at during some mechanics. Originally I was planning to do savage, chaotic and also give FRU a shot and probs other ultimates as well but when I already struggle looking at "basic" content there is no point in doing so. Overworld feels a bit more bearable than before but content? Meh...If I wouldn't need the sub to continue posting here (and hopefully see the issue resolved) I'd probs just unsub like many others already did. It's baffling that it's still an issue after around half a year...

What glare? Can you please post a screenshot of what you're talking about? It would help to see what is so unviewable and damaging.Posting to bump the thread. Also wanting to weigh in here. I have chronic status migraines and have had them for over a decade. I love the graphics update, but the bloom and halos mean I've been getting a lot more pain while playing XIV and thus I've just not been playing it as much anymore. Please give us settings for these options, I would like to be able to enjoy the game I have loved since 2015.
