    OK, further observations. It seems, that the camera jitter, which is needed for FSR 2/3 or DLAA/DLSS/TAA/TSCMAA/Xess is not applied on every new frame. This makes the blur effect worse, it makes the ghosting on moving objects worse and it generates a very visible flicker effect on certain objects.

    I've been struggling with adapting to the graphical update, it's caused a few bouts of eyestrain and even motion sickness. I'm unsure if it's been mentioned, but one example of how extreme the bloom effect is now is at the Fury's Gaze monument in Coerthas Central Highlands.


    Pre-DT it looked like this:


    Post-DT it looks like this:


    I wish the development team would at the very least acknowledge the issues presented in this thread. Just looking at screenshots makes my eyes hurt.

    The bloom is way too bright and overtuned. They really need to add either a toggle to turn it off or turn it down substantially. I really hope they do this, it would make a lot of the issues people have about the metal with the bright shimmers go away as well. Everything really goes back to the bloom imo. (And a better temporal/dlss implementation)

    Omg!! I knew the bloom was bad since DT but I didn't realize HOW bad. Wow that difference is INSANE no wonder my eyes aren't happy D:

    The super-bloom in some areas is so ugly looking, I've been assuming the whole time it's a bug with the lighting updates.

    It couldn't be intentional, right? Sure, the Gold Saucer is now more blurry and disorientating as if you were accurately drunk in Las Vegas, but I'd find it so strange if it was a purposeful choice.

    Bump! Forced bloom/glare and increased brightness of player and enemies's effects still cause headaches and eye strain on PS4/PS5.

    I've been leveling an alt through Stormblood. Through sheer luck, whenever I was in Gyr Abania, it was night in game. Today I was in the upper part of the Peaks during the day, and the glare from the sands made me go for sunglasses just long enough to teleport back to town. I've gone through the area multiple times on multiple characters and never had a problem before.

    Now I don't even want to think about what the Everlasting Light in Shadowbringers will do to my eyes. So, I don't think that character is going much farther for a while......
