Dawntrail Graphics Update - Eye Strain

Given the screens they've shown so far they seem to continue with the exaggerated bloom. Not sure about the atrocious blur and ghosting tho but overall some of the screenshots were hard to look at and i dont even want to imagine how it feels during actual gameplay.

At this point I am considering just giving up my medium house and leave XIV for good despite all the memories tied to it. I had at least a slight sliver of hope that they at least say "we're aware and working on it" or some other kind of acknowledgement but meh :/ They mentioned that they're working on the character models tho so at least something i guess?

Overall i am losing hope that there will be done anything at all...

It's about as far from a "we're aware and working on it" as you can get. Since this was live from TGS I didn't expect them to dig into any of the elements of DT that were received negatively at all (even character graphics were reduced to a mention at the end) but this is bleak.

OK, i have tried out some things with DLSS. And IMHO, the best results are if you upgrade the DLSS DLL to 3.7.20, then enforce preset F and then set the sharpening with the Nvidia sharpening filter to 80%. It is still somehow blurry in motion but way better than the original.

I have low vision and astigmatism, and yes, this expansion I've been having problems too. I've tried tweaking things but it gets worse the longer I play. I even have an eyecare monitor but still I'm feeling the strain even more with Dawntrail than I ever have before. My eyes ache after playing in the evenings.

I'm in a similar boat with severe astigmatism. I've tried playing with my glasses on and off.

I've tried tweaking the settings. Nothing helps.

My eyes hurt. I've had to curtail my time playing FFXIV because of it.
