Dawntrail Graphics Update - Eye Strain

I'm not surprised they didn't mention the eyestrain issues...I'm just...disappointed.
Part of me thinks that they don't care about collateral damage so long as it doesn't affect them much. I hope not....I still have a few months left in my sub and honestly this update made me seriously consider quitting which hurts because I really love this game and all the memories I have in it.

I guess we know now why the GM post was made in the other topic and not this one. I'm so disappointed in Creative Studio 3 for being unable to address such a serious issue that affects player's health. I know they're being asked to deal with a lot of things since the hasty feeling changeover in graphics system, but to not even acknowledge these problems after months really erodes my faith in Square Enix.

Ohai, I was going to unsub before, but stuck around when I thought there was going to be some sort of update. Haven't noticed an update. However, my alts are all bar 1 lvl 100 on gatherers, and are now making good gains on crafters. Some of them haven't even left Endwalker, but it's not like I can do combat stuff STILL.

I'm technically babysitting the house - in Feb this year, after playing fairly consistently since 2018, me and hubby finally acquired a medium house. I really don't like to think I'm effectively paying rent for a pixel property, hence the levelling of crafters and gatherers on all the alts. But hubby, who doesn't even have any medical issues with the game, has unsubbed, simply because I can't do content like Heaven-on-High and 2-person treasure hunts, etc. with him and thus he got bored. I usually play White Mage, so have always had to deal with Holy (which was mentioned earlier in the thread), so I'm used to not looking past the first cast or so (close eyes, look away, etc., and hope for the best!), but it's super horrible now.
How dare anyone want to look and see what's happening! How entitled for any of us to want to see the game we're playing! /sarcasm

Anyhoo, once all the alts are lvl 100 on crafters, there's no point me paying the rent for the pixel house we'd waited for years to acquire. I hope the issue is addressed and fixed by then, or I really have nothing reasonable left to hang on to. I can't believe this is an acceptable choice by the devs (I am not convinced SE as a company would actually be bothered); I want to believe something is being worked on. I would really love to know what that something is. Or at least get some kind of confirmation that I'm wasting my time here so I can make a proper informed decision to quit for good.

I've tried to be optimistic and understanding since this became an issue for me and given today's statement, I no longer believe that's being taken in good faith. From all indications, the graphic settings are working as intended with the exception of a very specific scenario (housing). Despite posts, support tickets, discussions on other social media, and a plethora of examples from people affected, this doesn't even warrant acknowledgement as a known issue. I'm done hoping that this is somehow lumped in with the various concerns they have reviewed.

There's so much more I want to say but at this point, is it even worth it?

I found getting what had bothered me about DT (and there was a LOT) off my chest in Unsubbed Thread (Tell us why) thread was cathartic and maybe someone will read those when SE's bottom line gets hit.

With how much they been fumbling so much lately, I can't say I'm surprised but even still I'm disappointed there was nothing mentioned. Oh well, was a fun game while it lasted, and I say that as someone who came into the game with a "gone when it goes downhill not IF", I just expected it to be a steep slope like the other games I've left and not a freaking cliff. (tbf SWtoR was a steep slope THEN a cliff lol)

I am once again asking if we can please have an option for lighting/ bloom to be dimmed.
I just finished killing an S Rank here. Otherwise, I wouldn't come to this area, so I had no idea it was even like this.
The water and white sand combo is fairly bad on its own. But this seems a bit excessive.
(This happened during early morning/ sunrise ET. It begins to fluctuate on its own after 12ET between very bright to "tolerable".)

I wish I had captured a SS of Living Liquid. It was literally glowing, but he died a second or 2 after I landed.

The title screen is the worst for me. Ah yes let's go from pitch black all the way to full white in the span of a second or two.

Seriously who thought this was a good idea to have for the next two years or three?!
