Professional lurker.

This forest is so beautiful, it reminds me of the Argonea area in TERA. Minus the alien egg pods and cyberwires... But yes, the bright blue wood flower things and fog on top of it isn't great for me eyes. It's a shame because I like the atmosphere and music of the place.
May the stars light thy way.

I have to admit, I feel nothing looking at the image.
And that's okay, consider yourself lucky! People are different and their bodies react to things differently. I never asked for motion sickness and migraines when I look at certain effects in video games and I did not want to be diagnosed with light sensitivity 9 years ago. My body is just stupid but it's not my fault. I've never had these issues in XIV before Dawntrail so SE can easily fix this by adding OPTIONAL accessibility settings like turning off bloom and graphics upscaling, among other things. Before DT, turning off glare also turned off bloom but SE decided to remove it for unknown reasons. It's 2024, players should be able to customize their graphics settings.

Bump bump bump for visibility (hah)
it/its - 14 accessibility is bad, ease of access is not accessibility, jobs are boring. Transphobia ruins real attempts at criticism and it's whack.

I wanted to talk a little bit about Dawntrail zone 5. It's the easiest zone to get flashbanged in due to how dark it tends to run by default and the large amount of flickering effects involved. There are some spots in the zone where big flashes automatically happen. This is similar to the flashing effects people have been complaining about since SHB but in a setting that exacerbates the problem.
This also includes the hunt marks. I was finally able to get some shots of the attacks they do and just how bright they can be from a distance. Some examples under the cut.

There's a hunt mark in zone 6 with a big bright attack you can see from very far across the zone, but I haven't been able to get a good shot of it. I ended up leaving the hunt train early because the bosses were going down slow enough that all that flashing gave me a headache.
Still hoping for a sign from the devs that this is being looked into but I'll still keep reporting things as I come across them.
Exactly that. My sensitivities aren't the same as other people's but that doesn't mean they don't deserve to be accommodated.

Another day in DT and another day of feeling like my eyes and brain are melting in my skull.
Another day, another bit of my sub washing down the drain until the game is reasonable to play again.

I just wanted to add that some of the new bosses, especially the one in m4, have really bright blue aoes that make me have terrible migraines and feel very dizzy. I didn't even use filters before but I have to use Nvidia filters whenever I want to do Dawntrail content because zones and bosses abilities are too bright.
