Does anyone know if Japanese players have similar issues after the graphics update? That would speed things up.

I'm packing up my bags here. Its clear that SE (or just the english dev team passing on issues) do not care. If you look at the dev tracker on the forums here, you'll see that other language boards are getting responses to their problems. JP and French boards get follow ups from the dev team. Where is the NA dev team or NA forum moderators? Do we even have any? If we do, what are they being paid for? Yes, this place can be a shit show, but that is your JOB to sift through that and actually HELP people who need it. Going out on a limb here and going to say that even the NA team subscribes to the toxic positivity this game has. They can't even take criticism and admit issues.
Yes, I am beyond mad, I am just done. I wouldn't hold your breath on them fixing anything. That would require work.
My only advice is to give your money to companies and games that actually deserve it. Right now, SE aint it.
I don't want to leave because XIV is my main MMO but I'm tired of the daily headaches and burning eyes so I'll take a break and keep an eye on announcements/updates. I hate that my body reacts this way but I didn't ask for this crap and I can't control it. I've never had this issue before Dawntrail and I don't have this issue in my other games (ESO, GW2, Genshin). I'm heartbroken.![]()

Same here, i was expecting so much with the new graphical update and got the exact opposite effect.
I've been playing since ARR launch and for the first time i see myself forced to just do crafting and ignore combat job content, its either that or quit the game.
Just waiting it out to see if SE does anything about the miriad of issues the new graphical update brought up all over the forum sections.
Bumpity bump. I want to play the game, Square.

Day 8 of waiting for the devs to do something about an issue that literally stops people from playing the game. Fun times.

Welp, I'll be damned. I almost missed this little bit from Yoshi-P's latest post:
It has been a joy to watch you all play, each in your own unique way, but we’ve become aware of several issues that may have proven a hinderance to your overall experience. For that, I sincerely apologize. We’ve already announced on the Lodestone that a number of these issues are presently under investigation, but rest assured we will be doing everything in our power to address them as quickly as possible. You can expect a follow-up announcement as soon as fixes are ready for implementation.
I'm probably just becoming delusional, but is this what I think it might be? It's impossible to tell due to his almost politician-level vague manner of speech, but with any luck this is proof that the devs might actually be working on a solution. Here's hoping.
If you haven't sent a support ticket about this eye strain issue yet, please do so at your earliest convenience. The more people we get to voice their problems, the more manpower they'll (hopefully) assign to deal with the issue.
What was that a post from? I haven't really looked at the Lodestone in a couple days. The only reference to any issues mentioned by him in the past week that I could find was from this post there back on the 30th: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...8406d28f47a951Welp, I'll be damned. Sorry to be a pessimist, but it doesn't seem that he is referring to the graphics issues we've been facing and talking about. The only graphical issue I saw being mentioned was:
"We have identified an issue that affects aspects of certain playable races during the execution of certain emotes and the scholar action, Seraphism. The cause is a result of incorrect values being input for the corresponding parts during fine-tuning of the graphical update and other fixes."
Maybe I missed something. Honestly, I really hope I did, because it seems like the issues that have been brought up in this thread so far have flown completely under the radar. I'd be surprised if we ever even get a fix since it seems like we might be in the minority at this point. Maybe not though.
Either way, we can still hope!
