My game runs alright, I just like to make fun of Square Enix's hilarious out of touch incompetence.I mean, not to be rude but it’s an improvement after all.
If your machine can’t keep the pace it’s not the game/SE’s fault.
Anyway, since I have also a potato build (Ryzen 3700x + 3060RTX), what helped me to get the 60 solid at 2k was just enabling the LOD system for all feature which can be LOD’ed, the rest set to maximum.
Still you get the 40/50 when entering Tuliyollal in certain areas but for the 90% of the game is a solid 60 fps (locked at 60).

Well, just reached the final DT area and I can't stay there. I can't finish the MSQ because this area gives me physical pain X_X
If anyone has a workaround for this so I can get through this area please share it with me...
Boop!
My advice is if it causes you that much discomfort to the point of physical pain, just don't play the game for now.
Just wait for the devs acknowledgement, because something tells me this thread will keep going the more ppl notice they just can't phisically handle the visual changes (glare / motion blur / etc).

Seems to be my only option then...not what I was hoping for but probably for the better. Thank you.

Any blur of any kind in any game is the bane to my existence. I can tolerate it in movies but in games it feels like im halucinating when my character causes the blur, as if Im doing something wrong or weird. Ive had a bit of headache since release, didnt pay attention to it. Only after reading this thread I realized I used to play with glare off and FXAA turned off. This time I had glare on and the new AA on. This game always have bad AA..... its so annoying. But when you turn it off the characters become PSX models with all the jagged edges.

To set the record straight, most people here aren't complaining about the graphics. The issue stands with the fact that SE has made this game unplayable for us.Most of the people here aren't having an issue with performance. The issue stands with the fact that SE has removed graphics options that have been in the game for ~10 years. This in turn has made the game look subjectively worse for some of us. On top of the fact that their implementation of upscaling tech has been a lazy one at best.
Furthermore, the removal of old options isn't the true culprit: it's the introduction something new that's clearly not working correctly. It could be the motion blur, it could be some manner of flicker, it could be the overall sharpness of the graphics... or all of those together.
lol.. I get that you're the OP that started this whole thread in the first place, but I'm not sure why you feel the need to come at me like that. If you go back and read all 22 pages, you'll see that it's actually a mixed bag on the issues; two of the main being blurry upscaling and not being able to disable bloom/glare.To set the record straight, most people here aren't complaining about the graphics. The issue stands with the fact that SE has made this game unplayable for us.

And to further set things straight, you literally just contradicted yourself lmao.
The issues you described are literally graphics issues lmao. People are complaining about the graphics, seeing as how that's exactly what is making the game unplayable for a lot of people (myself included)."most people here aren't complaining about the graphics."
"It could be the motion blur, it could be some manner of flicker, it could be the overall sharpness of the graphics... or all of those together."
Maybe I misunderstood your articulation, but we're both trying to fight for the same thing: graphics settings that work and aren't eyebleed.
I agree that the new changes aren't working correctly as you said. But SE in the 7.0 patch notes did make the decision to remove the option "Glare: Off" which is what i think LucisBlack was referencing to when he stated "SE has removed graphics options that have been in the game for ~10 years".To set the record straight, most people here aren't complaining about the graphics. And that is also one issue that people are complaining about in this thread that makes the game unplayable.

Yes, but the lack of an option to disable glare isn't the reason this topic was created. The reason is that it literally physically hurts us when we play this game now. There's a difference, and I mean to enforce that difference.
If the glare is causing you headaches, then yes, it fits under the umbrella, but I will keep this topic on-track in terms of what it's about to avoid a situation where the devs get the wrong idea.

The glare and bloom don't usually bother me too much despite my photosensitivity, but 0 gamma Syrcus Tower comes close. The turquoise crystal lights are bright to say the least.
