I wish we could change which title screen you get on boot permanently for all kinds of reasons.
it/its - 14 accessibility is bad, ease of access is not accessibility, jobs are boring. Transphobia ruins real attempts at criticism and it's whack.
I too wish you could switch between what title screen you want to see. The feature is already there when you watch a cinematic for an expansion, the title screen will change. It just doesn't persist upon logging out. I would switch to Shadowbringers personally.

I would actually like the 1.0 title screen back. I also wish they'd have added that version of Prelude to the game as an orchestrion scroll by now, too. In particular I liked the more etheric quality it had by swapping out the core melody horns with a choir effect.
Give our settings back, SE.For some weird reason at first glance the "glare: off" option its not a glich because its stated in the patch notes that it was removed.
Now my question is, what the hell made them think it was a good idea w/o asking for feedback first, or even mentioning it during the graphic changes liveletters.
Anyway here goes another picture with the mentioned removal.:

Professional lurker.
i dont struggle with eyestrain myself, but god i hate bloom and always turn it off. throwing in my hat to say bring back the option as well
Been sorting through multiple posts regarding the removal of disabling the glare option. For some weird reason at first glance the "glare: off" option its not a glich because its stated in the patch notes that it was removed.

I've had it off since day one since I get incredibly bad headaches from eye strain, and with it's removal you can imagine how unhappy I was constantly being bombarded with lights/weapons/objects that looks like someone smeared Vaseline on them and being overpowering/prominent in a LOT of areas.
I understand that this can seem like a "minor" complaint for those who aren't afflicted like myself, but the reality of the fact is that it also a legitimate accessibility concern as well.
I have a few players in my free company that suffer from pin-hole like vision and only being able to see a smaller portion of your screen, and it being a BRIGHT OVERPOWERING light, is something they can't control when they've been able to in the past.
Posting this to show that this is not a "small" issue that only a few people are speaking out about, and is something that should have been at LEAST asked about from the community PRIOR to it's removal.

Please let us turn off Glare again. There are so many dungeons and maps that now give me a headache because of the bloom effect. Some of the maps that are beautiful during the day are nightmares to exist in at night too because of this.
Save us Yoshi P.

I tried this config file method, but it didn't work for me - and I double-checked the read-only flag! I don't know why it seems to work for some people and not for others, but I still get the blur on motion that drives my eyes to uselessly try to refocus.Throwing my hat in the ring to agree that the new update is causing me a lot of eye strain and migraines.
The forced upscaling is a huge problem. FSR sharpens the image way too much at 99% (it's still on blurring things at 100%) and the DLSS implementation is very poor. It seems to always have resolution scaling on regardless of the framerate option. So you don't get the benefit of DLAA alone.
What worked for me was going into my FFXIV.cfg config file and changing GraphicsRezoUpscaleType to 2 then setting the file to read only. Then I turned the AA off in-game. That said, a lot of the new textures are pretty soft-looking so you might still want some form of sharpening e.g through your gpu's drivers settings.
As of now, things look about the same as they did before but with better textures. Which all I wanted in the first place. For console players, best of luck here and I'm hoping you get some additional options.
