[Xbox] Game Crashes in loading transitions

I am also having this issue.

Currently had it on two occasions (was going to say when, but I don't want to post spoilers and I'm new to the forums and don't it doesn't look like spoiler tags exist? halp? lol)

Anyway, I don't mind force-quitting the application and logging back in, but being thrown into a queue when people start waking up is... Going to be the opposite of fun.

I can confirm issue on Xbox Series X. I have tried numerous instances. Old Gridania, New Gridania, Empyrum, My FC house, Inn of Gridania, Yanxia, Gold Saucer. All instances will allow login to area. Actions are allowed in area, and one change. Any change of instance and the screen will freeze. I changed the settings to limit to 30 fps, with a small inprovement, yet still freezes.

Update:
After moving FFXIV from my expansion drive to internal drive, I found I was able to change instances multiple times. Will try more and provide update if no more crashes/freezing happens.

I am also having the same issue, tried a couple of fixes so far:

- Running on an Xbox Series X on the Internal memory
- Got around 7 freezes this morning in the first 2 hours just by teleporting around the city and going into cut scenes
- Transferred to SEA server Sephirot, freezes are way less common but they are still happening
- Also noticed the frame rate is worse than it was prior to the update, could be due to lag but feels worse than i've seen it
- Tried full restart and shutdown of Xbox before i realised it was happening to so many people

Side note - the annoying profanity filter is still in effect, cant type savage or raids for example but now i can type night so...something has changed

The profanity filter thing drives me nuts. It was funny and kinda goofy at first. But we are adults, there is report systems, and we should have the choice and freedom like all other platforms… i think that’s more on Microsoft side though as far as I’ve gathered

All that said it’s interesting there has been some tweak to that insanely stupid “feature” along with the crazy freezing issue since DT dropped

Same here, was testing if the transition loads were improved at all and laughed when it crashed like I didnt think it was going to get worse...

What worries me is that Square has never acknowledged any issues with this version of the game from the start since they prioritize the other versions as far as I know.

Wow Same issue here. Please fix this devs!!!


Using 120hertz LG Cx65.
Hard wire connection 1gb internet
Xbox has plenty of space left over.

I never had any issues before new 7.0 Dawntrail patch. Was working so smooth and 0 crashes. Now crash every load screen and during teleports.
Also the frame rate is very bad very low and choppy.

I tried both settings checked on and off with the Enable Dynamic Res.
I tried all movement psychics off simple full and no changes.
I tried Water Refraction option
I tried to erase Xbox cache
I tried uninstall on internal Xbox drive
I tried switching TVs to a smaller 60hertz
I tried using a pc monitor.
I tried using keyboard and mouse (yeah idk)

No problems with any other game on series x. No the system is not overheating but I think this new patch has memory leak maybe???

Same issue with freezing. Still having text based freezing issues since the Xbox beta which still haven't been addressed too although it seems to be quite random, as I don't enter text a lot in game and can't seem to find a way to replicate it either.
