    No "if". Duplicate bugs are duplicates, therefore somewhere exists an original that the duplicate reports are duplicating. The bug report forum is part of their workflow and gets looked at constantly. They will *of course* shuffle off duplicate reports and not address them specifically. Addressing the same bug nine or ten times when once will suffice is an atrocious waste of time. "Address one bug once" is not remotely an "arbitrary and nonsensical" rule.

    The bug report forum isn't there to make anyone feel heard or to give anyone any impression about anything. Though in my experience, it has made me feel more heard than for any other game I've reported bugs. Because they've not only responded directly to me in-game about bugs reports I've made, but they've fixed them.

    Incompetence.
    I'm the one that posted the bug about the Ponder emote and I'm going to be more than a little irritated if it was marked as a "Duplicate" because some other player replied to it claiming it was related to an eyelids tracking bug. It is not. It is specifically an issue with the eyes themselves not tracking correctly. I really wish people wouldn't screw up other people's bug reports with erroneous information/guesses.

    ...but the mods also put my bug for this clearly incorrect scar texture bump in the "Working as Intended" category so perhaps they're just finding any excuse to not address these bugs.

    Adding a new post to show comparisons I've found between older versions and the latest update in regards to my character.

    I noticed when logging on that my characters eye shaped looked a little different. To be sure that my own eyes weren't playing tricks on me, I compared them to the eyes in the DT 1.1 benchmark to see if there were any differences.

    I used my older face data from late EW to compare rather than using my current data; I currently use eye shape 4 on Highlander face 2 while my older version used eye shape 3. I've done my best to line the camera up as much as I can, and used video recording to capture screenshots so I could align the idle animation up as much as possible. The EW benchmark screenshots are the most misaligned, so the comparisons won't be fully accurate, but I did my best.

    The shape of the eye socket has remained the same, but the texture around the eye is closer to Endwalker.





    I still think the shape needs tweaking, but the change in texture at least feels better to me.

    Lips remain largely unchanged.



    The original EW shape has a more "pursed" look for lack of a better term, while the updated version feels wider in comparison. The tubercle is also more prominent in EW compared to the updated version. The differences are subtle, but they add up and it makes my characters neutral expression feel different. I still prefer the EW shape overall.

    I didn't compare the nose, I know there's other face 2 Highlanders out there that have issues with the updated nose, but if the lack of geometry changes with the eyes and mouth are any indication, I suspect the nose to be unchanged. It seems we only got small texture changes.





    Even if it's only a texture change rather than a geometry change, I'm happy to go back to my old eye shape with this patch. That said, I'd rather Square not stop here and actually try to tweak the face geometry rather than relying solely on texture changes.

    The shaders used for hair, beards and eyebrows has been broken since Dawntrail came out. Darker colours are mismatched and look wet/shiny. Beards don't match with the hairstyles, etc. This has been an ongoing issue since the benchmark came out.

    It's such an eyesore lol. And I've noticed a mismatching of tones even on fair-haired characters.

    I didn't notice the eyelid thing until a friend pointed it out, then I noticed that my adventurer plate portrait is broken as a result, I've had to switch it out for another one. I am mildly miffed about it.
