I guess at this point we have to accept that our Characters will never look the same again Not just faces but also skin textures are just ruined on many Characters. The smooth skin from before DT was replaced with dry, red, spotty skin. Especially Fem bunnies suffer from this.

You're right, resolution is an objective measure of texture quality, much like how triangle count is an objective measure of model quality.

Has anyone else noticed the weird flickering shadows around hairlines and on cheekbones and stuff are back from 7.0? Noticing it especially with shadows cast by hair but I've seen it from other weird stuff too like just standing in Goblet under the sun.

Mate, it looks so bad cause Skin textures outright look like they have rashes all over the skin in some situations.

I will say in a positive note - which I know is rare- that female hrothgar eyes no longer look like they are foggy and have cataracts. It looks like they added in manual light reflections on top of the environmental ones (I think, sorry I am not a graphics person), but they definitely look clearer and more alive. I guess I will take my wins, since hrothgar haven't been touched in the updates and most likely won't be tweaked. Sorry, you folks are having such a rough go of it.

They added catchlights to some eyes but not all of them for some reason. The male miqo'te comparisons a few pages back shows plenty of options that still look like they'd be at home on a corpse.

That has nothing to do with shaders at all, it's compression artifacts because the resolution of those textures is tiny. I wish people would at least not speak so confidently about things they don't understand.

I was lied to then. My bad for trusting a Friends word i guess. I changed my Statement. The fact that some skins look like they have rashes all over the skin persists though.
