Which job seems the most fun for Dawtrail?

I'm just returning after a year (I think). I've not followed all the patches that have happened or all the changes that are about to happen. I briefly read through them but it was a lot to take in and the skill names are now foreign to me.

I realize "fun" is subjective and I'm only looking for opinions here. I'll of course try out the new jobs but I have a feeling I'll fall back to the old ones. Are there any changes that make you feel like a certain job or jobs will be worse or any jobs that look like they'll be better? This is from a casual perspective. Not even close to hardcore raider. For instance the BLM changes I don't think will make any difference to me. Thanks in advance.

I'm not really sure on Viper, that's why I'm leveling it first.

Pictomancer is absolutely my new main job though, with Red Mage being pushed down to a weak third place. (I just like casters a lot)

Ninja and Viper are both solid choices. I love Ninja now so I'm going to enjoy it more come DT.

Reaper is also good, it hasn't changed really, just some additions.

While I miss the DoT interactions of old, I still think bard is also really enjoyable, and will remain enjoyable.

I adore Red Mage and it seems it will be just as fun of a job in DT as it was in EW, also really excited for Pictomancer

I was not at all excited about pictomancer but seeing the way you guys are excited for it is making me think I might just start with that. I'm a fellow RDM lover but maybe Pictomancer is the way to go!

Maybe the Drg or Monk could work to.
The dragoon looks to be the most streamlined class of all DD. You practicly follow 2 combo set without variation and set up some skills in between (whbo`sss number are a little reduced now).
If you dont want to think much, looks that class realy good to it. And, fast feels he to (at last, in EW).
Monk was similary to that with a very streamlined moveset. He is even the fastes attacker (except of maybe the burst viper now). But, im not sure, how much the new system influence the flow of movement (its a little hard for me, to understand it only from text or some clips).

Viper looks from viosual nice and is a class, where you can do some variations. But similary to Monk, do its read a little to complex for me, without trying it in for myself.

From range class is the dancer feeling nice. Maybe evben the bard (even, when i have allways the feeling, tzhat Bard is something missing, when i play him).
For tanks, as potential fun class, would i say the Gunblade. He feels at last for me as the nicest tank class (Paladin was until now allways a little boring to watch, but is my favro tank, for his ability to protect and heal, Warrior feels like, to have to much focus on 1 skill and Dark knight feels allways slow and heavy to me).

The casters and fun are a hard combi.
Summoner is called a very easy class. But many complain, that he is boring. Black mage looks nice visualy and has a slow gameplay. He is a good contrast to all the fast classes. But, the slowness can be a problem to. From caster would i say, make the red mage the most fun. With his mix of casting and swordplay. What i dont like by red mage is, that his spells looks not so impressiv from visually point of view.

Pictomancer and Black Mage

New Black mage is interesting, you only have to use ice phase twice in 2 min rotatio, I want to know how that play out

Pictomancer have good utility, party shield, damage buff and heal. The job can also utilize downtime pretty well and seems to be pretty rewarding to play.

Viper, the animations alone are selling me on it. Incredibly fast paced to the eye with an easy to follow rot \o/
