For most job they did nothing but add 1 mechanically inconsequential skill.
dawntrail doesn't feel much like an expansion, it's more like a patch.
And this is with 4 years worth of development as opposed to 2.5 years in the early model of ARR->HW->SB. They used to develop more content in less time.
Maintenance mode continues.
MNK, BLM and AST getting some reworking done... But aside from those, everyone is mostly just getting upgrades to some attacks and one new attack tied to their damage increasing CDs...
While as a tank main I agree that is disappointing, particularly as a DRK whom have needed changes for a long time now, that still doesn't mean the expansion is 'frugal'
As the other one posted, a graphical update is more than just hitting a button. It does take effort.
From the notes:
When editing character appearance by way of Fantasia, players will have 60 minutes of in-game playtime from the initial usage to re-edit their appearance as many times as they desire.
If you don't like your new appearance, I wonder if you can go back and just revert to original and get the fatasia back for later use. By the sound of the above, you'll have to re-create your original appearance, ending up looking the same, but losing the fantasia.
I've had a fantasia active on my character ever since 2.0, I just never saved the appearance. This time appears to apply AFTER you confirm a change. From the notes:

They have a point when you look at the bigger picture of resource allocation, but it's been obvious for years that the PvE battle system devs and everyone that evaluates their work just don't care, so even infinite time and money wouldn't result in anything more than some more Bahamut reskins.
It's not a matter of not enough resources, it's a matter of the game's design philosophy that is fundamentally broken. They could add as many bells and whistles they want to combat design and it'll never be fun as long as the fights are scripted and predictable. They have a point when you look at the bigger picture of resource allocation, but it's been obvious for years that the PvE battle system devs and everyone that evaluates their work just don't care, so even infinite time and money wouldn't result in anything more than some more Bahamut reskins.
Like many mediocre game designers nowadays their only tools are making things follow a script, or making things follow a RNG.
AST 7.1 rework confirm.
Astro Lost Lords 1 per minute, 2 cads (1 in burst window) in 2 min and Macrocosmos now are lost DPS. In general Astro its around 20% weaker than in 6.5 and will have struggle in old ultimates, also AST dps its HALF what whm can offer... and we have CARD DRIFT - because cards have 15 sec buff and Divination is 20, so you need hold your cards 5 seconds to optimize your rotation with raid buff.
ASTRO need FIX:
Macrocosmos make it neutral dps
Cards: make it 20s
Potency buff to Malefic skills in all lvl range.
