stuttering and horrid fps drop issue

Hello all, came back to 14 about a week ago, been enjoying it blah blah whatever
All of a sudden, starting last night in an 8 man party (after ~3 hours of said 8 man party with no issues whatsoever) i started getting this awful framerate lag. I figured even though I had been in this party a while and everything was fine this frame lag would just kinda go away maybe my computer needed a restart

Now today when i log in its like i replaced my video card with a dorito and the game is completely unplayable

just for !@#$s and giggles i throw the settings way down as low as they can go, still having the same problem

in using the config tool it reads all my hardware properly sees all 8 gigs of ram, my gtx 470, all that good stuff. I'm running on 64 bit, hard drive is no where near full, cant figure out why all of a sudden I have this awful lag

Came across a fix but im worried its just temporary of wiping all the config data in the ff14 folder under my docs. Everything is better now but after a few minutes i can feel it starting to slow down a bit and get a little choppy. Anyone know whats up here?

How's the temperatures where you are? GTX 470 is a pretty hot card.

Might be that your card is dieing.

You should also turn off Window's Aero (Turn it to a basic theme) See if that makes a difference.
