Windows Version(Not Steam): Installer Only Allows Uninstall

Windows 11 Pro 22621.3737. Windows version of FFXIV.

When I run "ffxivsetup.exe" the only option it gives me is to uninstall. No option to install the game.

The game has been manually deleted. I have verified the files are gone. Only thing possible is something hidden in some random folder somewhere.

I did dig through various temp files and deleted some stuff. I am also going through my drives for any references to "ffxiv" and "Final Fantasy" and deleting them.

The shortcut to the launcher is broken. I have tried following through with the "Uninstall" option with no luck. Same with multiple reboots.

Clean download of ffxivsteup.exe

The game does show up in Add/Remove Programs but only attempts to run the uninstaller from ffxivsetup.exe. I tried using regedit to remove it but its not there(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall). If its somewhere else please let me know.

I also tried making "\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot\" file that had a blank text file called ffxivboot.exe to see if giving the uninstaller something to look for would work and it did not.

From the description provided, it appears that the game files may have only been deleted on your system and not uninstalled. At this time, we would recommend either searching for those files in your file explorer and/or simply uninstalling the game fully and then reinstalling them. In general, we recommend installing the game files on the default C: drive to prevent possible issues.

That was already attempted in my initial post
