Reddit is a cesspool. You get downvoted for asking any sort of question of any kind. There's also someone who goes around and downvotes EVERY SINGLE NEW thread that is opened.

I think this is probably because they think some of those questions would be better suited to the designated Q&A posts. And that's fair enough, I guess, but I don't think they understand how easy it is to miss stickied posts like that if you're sorting by latest like a normal person lol.
