    Returning player. My thoughts on QOL changes.

    1. Trial option to try out jobs at max level. To help new players/friends getting a feel for the game. I wish they can try out any jobs at max level with all skills unlocked on a training dummy before actually start playing the game.

    2. Tomestone cap removal or increase. Endgame tome gears are capped which is understandable. But if a sort of tomestone that has no cap to grind, i dont see why its limited to 2000 instead of 99999.

    3. Marketboard quantity. Right now u can only buy whats put on the market with different quantities. If the cheapest is listed for 99 and i only need 20 of those i should be able to buy from it instead of buying expensive ones just because of the listing quantity.

    4. Inventory management. Drag and drop mutiple items between retainer and inventory. More tabs to seperated different kind of items within the inventory. ex: gathering mats, tokens, crafting parts, books, pots etc etc.

    5. Cross Datacenter party finder. No need to transfer data center just for bigger population of raiders = faster pf.

    6. Glamour system. Implement wow transmog.

    7. Gear sharing for melee dps. Tank/healer/ranged phy and magic dps all can share gears. Melees should have this as well. Currently for all melee u need 3 different sets while the others all can be used for the same sets. Some will say that u still need different melds for optimale rotation which is true. But thats very min maxing. If the goal is just to clear the content there no reason to meld and remeld every pull.

    8. Teleporting casttime. Is it still necessary to have a casttime when teleporting?

    9. Server ticks. Upgrade the code so that the game would feel more responsive.

    6. I would like to see GW2 armor system over WoW's Transmog.

    In GW2, you get a gear and it unlocks in a catalogue and you can glam and dye that set however you want to and then apply it. Fixes the probable inventory issue of having 2+ recolors of the same sets. I may not love a lot of the GW2 styles, but their glam/dye system (when not locking cool stuff behind dumb one slot outfits) is pretty nice.

    I hate hate hate GW2s mainly because of how terrible Transmutation Shards are distributed, but if they were as easy as Glamour Prisms than sure. But their's by having them is infinitely worse to me than Wow's despite the 4 slot dying. It's just not fun to be limited by a poorly distributed currency designed to make you have to grind or pay money. As much as I love GW2, that is easily the worst part by a country mile.

    I never mentioned their transmutation shard system. I specifically mentioned the cataloguing of armor skins part. We have glamour prisms and dye bottles, so they'd probably never shift towards permanent unlocked dye and therefore our glamour prism set up probably also wouldn't change.

    Figure this would help reduce the amount of skins that take up space in the Glamour dresser since it's so limited.

    I know I was just commenting on how shit Transmutation Shards are. Any chance I get to slag them I will. They suck. You have to make new characters and farm city discovery, WvW, get them from login rewards or hope to god you get them from regular map completion. It blows my mind that garbage like that is still ok with their players. Every time I play GW2 again that is the part that makes me want to stop. It's absolute trash.

    But I do agree with permanent dyes. But honestly I'd rather have Cross DC duty finder. If I chose something from that list, because Dynamis.

    I don't understand what 3 is meant to achieve. You're getting a bulk discount from the stack of 99 or you decide the premium is worth not having to deal with the excess. Furthermore, from a selling point of view it would absolutely miserable trying to sell a stack or not quite desired quantity only to be left with the unwanted dregs filling one of your valuable mb slots.

    Yeah this was my first thought as well. 3 is the way it is for a reason.

    for 8, It serves a secondary purpose which is to be able to cancel a teleport by moving before the cast is finished. If you ever misclick the wrong point or your group says "wait!" the cast time honestly comes in handy.

    1. Closest trial version of a job at max level is really PvP, because the abilities are in the style of what you get later on (like Confiteor, Atonement and Blade of Faith on Paladin). They function differently, but they still give a sense of what sort of animations you get and how they feel to use.

    2. Yoshi-P once said he could "write a book" about why the tomestone cap is needed. Back then he didn't know how long he'd do this so he might have had an opportunity to write it, but that was quite a long time ago now and he intends to just keep doing this as long as he can now.

    3. Would be a quality of life for buyers, but not sellers, who want their item to sell so they can sell more stuff. Sellers could just sell in quantities that people want enough to buy.

    4. Dragging multiple items would be good but most likely they would say it's difficult with the impact on network or database traffic.

    5. Cross-DC PF is an idea they are aware of, but they say it will take a few years minimum to implement if they do and as someone with an understanding of the subject, I agree that this is not an easy thing to achieve, primarily because of all the considerations involved (like who decides which region or which DC the party travels to? who suffers the increased ping in a cross-region PF? a chat that functions across regions).

    6. I'm not really a fan of a "collecting glamour" idea, but it is popular regardless. I'd be alright if it was just like the calamity salvager where you can buy it once you've obtained it, if it doesn't show as an empty slot when you don't have it.

    7. The idea is different dps types have different aesthetics though.

    8. I actually don't like it when a spell doesn't have a cast time. How is it a spell if you don't cast said spell? Being able to cancel a teleport gives me chance to change my mind, especially if I clicked the wrong location or was tired.

    9. Improving server ticks won't have the impact that you think it will. The primary issue people have is not understanding how snapshotting works (ie. red disappear = snapshot, cast bar complete = snapshot) and if you understand how it works, you shouldn't really have trouble doing mechanics consistently even with 400 ping - unless it is your connection that has an issue (ie. packet loss or inconsistent ping along your route which a VPN usually helps with).

    The second issue people have is with the animation delay, which is an intentional decision by SE to prioritize animation over gameplay. The server ticks are fractional compared to how the animations of abilities actually just don't produce their effect until certain points in the animation. Take using an invuln for example where you may need the bubble to appear first before the invulnerability is actually applied. You don't have that sort of time in an emergency, but SE doesn't care.

    SE has made a few animations rather instant which are far more responsive, but they seem to just do it on a case-by-case basis.

    1 - Hall of the Novice would be a good place to add this. (and would SE please add tutorial quests related to mechanics markers while they're at it)

    2 - The point of the cap is to get you to spend them not hoard them. While I agree the cap could be increased considering the amount of content that rewards Poetics now (can hit the cap very quickly), I think 4000 or 5000 would be sufficient.

    3 - Has been brought up in the Markets subforum many times. The player base seems to be split so I doubt SE will make a change unless a clear majority expresses a desire for purchasing partial stacks.

    4 - Drag and drop would be nice. I don't see them creating more tabs because every player would have something different in mind, and some players would want more space for some item types and less for others.

    5 - They know. It's a technical problem they need to solve.

    6 - This one I'll stay out of. While I enjoy glamour, I tend to limit myself to a few favorites instead of collecting everything.

    7 - I agree with this if only for the reduction in armoury chest space needed. I only need one set for healers, one set for tanks, one set for phys ranged DPS and one set for caster DPS. Why do I need 2.5 sets (since scouting shares accessories with phys ranged) for melee DPS?

    8 - Honestly, I'm happy it has a cast time. Occasionally I realize I hit the wrong destination so I can move to abort. It could be shorter, though.

    9 - I think this is another "they know" but it's also going to be a major undertaking to fix.

    Mao HUGE fan of GW2 Glam and dye systems. Mao has HUGE stash transmutation shards. Mao would be so happys if SE went that way for FFXIV.
