I miss DoT Mage :/

Poor summoners, I kinda wish you all would have gotten more eggies honestly
SB SMN when?![]()
#healerstrike
I feel sorry for one of my friends who's very dedicated to Summoner.
He liked playing Summoner because it used to have depth. He enjoyed applying 2 dots and pet positioning. He really wants to be a DPS with summons.
Now Summoner is purely aesthetic. Pets don't interact. Play like generic DPS, but without depth.
He had no choice but to unsub.
Why tf did they give summonere ANOTHER Bahamut and not more primals? Shiva? Leviathan? Ramuh? So many to give.
As a melee dps please go on strike. I’m tired of having Titan’s ass in my face every time I try to fight a boss I’m a raid
Pan-Roasted Carbuncle with a side of Baked Eggplant. - Delicious!
Let's be honest though with these strikes, a TON of people are gonna be trying Viper and Picto tomorrow.
I'll get around to my SMN eventually, but its not a priority. Even with all the changes (or lack thereof) I've always liked the mobility, respectable DPS, and utility SMN provides.
It's a shame they couldnt be more creative with the new summon than a reskinned Bahamut.
Summoner is the only dps job that I feel absolutely sorry for. The rework placed them in the same trash tier gameplay as the healer role.
With about 30 minutes of prep-time, you can macro SMN's entire rotation to one button which shouldn't be possible with a competent and creative dev team, but FFXIV devs are anything but that.
They should be embarrassed releasing Solar Bahamut.
I find it personally funny that I nod at most of these "strike threads" and think "wait... they actually have a point too".You know what, of all these mock threads based on the healer one, this actually has some standing.
Completely and utterly gutted from what it used to be, egi glams turned out to just be carbuncles. I can completely sympathize with you getting screwed over and jerked around.
Esp SMN. Job was bled at the altar of "streamlining" and sold on empty promises and blatant lies.
