This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I think having fewer glamour plates would be better.

Having too many glam plates cheaper them and removes the incentive to really make good glams. With fewer plates you'd have to really make choices about which outfits to keep and which to throw away, encouraging you to put more thought into them.

For example perhaps you'd think twice before allocating one of your precious few plates to a basic draped dalmascan top outfit, or to a joke frog head outfit. You would instead have fewer, better outfits.

Less is more.

I'd rather they refactor it so that each job has 20 plates, and the glamour dresser just be a "collection" system. Find it once, dump it in the dresser, it check's off that you have one, you can forever use it for glamor unless you remove it.

More to the point allow collected glamour to be used by all characters on the account. You still cant use the glamor plate if the gear level is higher than what you can equip. Items (level 1) that are cash shop purchases are automatically placed in the glamour dresser as "not removable" rather than going through the mog mail.

I would like to have more glamour plates if only so I can make each job look unique, given that there are a lot of specialized crafter/gatherer sets that I would like to be able to wear. I know that I could have one glam that covers all of them, but I think it would be more fun to have a distinct look for each of them because I really like a lot of the fiend sets you can get in the firmament such as the cauldronfiend's coat.

The whole plate system should be nuked and replaced with simple check mark system like WoW has. Did you ever aquire this piece? Done it's in your catalogue now for glams.

I only have about 5 plates active. Use maybe 4.
(I only use them if I don't like the base armor appearance.)

Advantage: All gear that's bound to you is available No need to save items before using.
Every character has it's own gear collection. It would be a bit more complicated in FFXIV with multiple jobs. I suppose the UI could just show the gear that's usable by that job.
