I'm still wondering how they're going to manage to 'conclude'.
I mean... lets say you finish the 'final boss'. But the servers aren't going down for a few more days, so it can't really be 'the end'. Neither can the current system hold up to an epic all open world boss. really ... Nor could they say it's at this time during these hours because then everyone would log in and crash the servers.

I do think like the INN rooms, we'll be thrown into Cut-scenes when we log in...
But as far as 'concluding'. I don't know.
My best guess is that perhaps after the 'official' end of service they might say, log in any time during the next week to see the 'final scenes', (no playable content), then the game will kick you off and that's it?

NPCs that survive/still exist will more than likely refer to the old world just like in XI people still referred to Tavnazia even though you can never visit it. The only issue is it's hard to have NPCs on the same timeline as the players...every NPC still refers to 17-24 years ago even though hundreds of years have past since then.

I guarantee they're going to stretch the conclusion out to coincide with the introduction of 2.0 Alpha.
