I ordered Digital Copy of Dawntrail why am i being shipped a physical one?

I got an email that i am being sent something from them free shipping. Why? I ordered the Digital Version and even says on the receipt email. I did not order anything physical so why is something being sent to me? I do not have room for things. When did ordering digital items end up being turned into physical items?

Did you order a collectable version maybe?

It's also possible you just got the same email everyone did, physical or digital.

The system is archaic. Shipped means you got another mail with the game code (not to be mistaken for the early access code sent before )

Companies often use the term "shipped" for digital items as well. Just old fashioned terms often continue to be used. That is why so many things are referred to using terminology from the early 1900s. It's part of what makes English seem so illogical.

i also bought digital and in my email it says "Points will be added to your account once all items in the order are shipped" which means i wont get any square enix points till the game is released perhaps this is what your email says to?
