I need the elegant rimless glasses. Those are my go to glasses.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
I would love to see a really rad pair of steampunk cog goggles. Always wanted some. Brass or rusty gold. Something good.
Wise men speak because the have something to say, fools because they have to say something. - Plato - He saw the ff forums apparently.
I was afraid stuff like that would happen, putting facewear versions of basic glasses that can be crafted, either behind grinds and/or limited time content. They need to make the facewear versions craftable as well. It's incredibly disappointing to me that my Shaded Spectacles can't be used as Facewear but the False Shaded Spectacles that I didn't bother to grind for because I already had Shaded spectacles are there for facewear and there's currently no way to get the False Shaded Spectacles.
So basically I'm stuck forever without a hat if I want my glasses.
They added 4 new glasses to the Gold Saucer including a rimless one. I am not sure if that is the same one you mean.
They added a couple more to the Brugaire Consortium vendors, fyi. "Simple Spectacles" and "Monocles".
...which means unless they're hiding in a third place, almost every pair of glamour glasses except the ones I actually use are in the game as facewear, oof. I'm glad they added so many immediately and I'm hopeful we'll get the rest (and more goggles and such) soon, but... we really had to have the Thick-rimmed Glasses instead of Oval Reading Glasses and Coeurl Eyeglasses? The ones that look like you're wearing a domino mask with frames attached?
Rimless Glasses and Elegant Rimless Glasses are 2 different items; the one in the saucer is just based on Rimless so it's not the one they want unfortunately.
I wish Monocles could be flipped to be on the other eye like with this hat:
They could add some more Monocles including these that go on the other eye.
These would be nice
These would be tricky as they use the /visor command and that is connected to headwear. Maybe a new command?
I really like the feature, it's just a little limited at this point. More color options would be good.
When you speak to the calamity salvager about eyeglasses he seems to imply you can trade headwear for facewear. If that was not intended maybe that should be reworded. But it would be a nice way to handle it when new items are added. I really don't want to do extreme grinds for glasses I already have. I think selling them at the gold saucer is reasonable.
These are still my favorite glasses in the game an I really hope they are added.

I just hope that if/when they implement any monocles or eyepatches... that it includes both left and right in one package rather than two separate entries.
For example... use leather eyepatch facewear gives you 10 color options for both left and right eye patchers for a total of 20 options in the submenu under the leather eyepatch entry.
The aviators on the Isle Vacationer's Visor are really nice, but the headpiece clips quite easily. It would be nice if the glasses were available separately as facewear.
The Monocle in my first picture above is currently available from Maisenta (Gridania) / Roarich (Ul'dah) / Bango Zango (Limsa Lominsa). The people that sell starting race gear.I just hope that if/when they implement any monocles or eyepatches... that it includes both left and right in one package rather than two separate entries.

But it is only right eye. I would love to have it on the other eye. I think either a flip option or having both left and right versions would be nice.

xiv needs more glasses and face-decorations, less umbrellas in my opinion.
