I was wondering the same. The short answer is we have no idea at this point.

So far they have only shown that the 4 fashion accessory face items will be converted to Face Wear. All of those were originally only head items, that still exist. Obviously that is nowhere near covering everyone's favorite choice of eyewear.

Since the idea is be able to wear glasses with headgear they would have to implement some other command to activate facewear if they even convert those.

You should continue to have the option use those items as headwear though.

It seems like not everything will be converted, but we will instead get duplicate versions of existing items. The only ones being directly ported over and losing their previous status are the fashion accessories.

Additionally, the new job gear sets are adding items that could be regarded as facewear if every item was being converted, so we can assume it is not. You won't lose the existing glasses, you just won't be able to make new types of combinations with them.

I would guess that "glasses on head" might not be implemented as facewear because of the potential to tangle with hats, although it would be nice regardless.

I agree with you there - oval etc. is nice, but it isn't my half-rimless staple pair since ARR and feels strange wearing anything but them.... Would be nice if they'd let you clone any eye-wear like those to place in the slot but doubtful it'll happen.

I’m genuinely hoping face gear gradually upgrades to head gear. There are a slew of cool horns, ears and such it’d be nice to add than simply glasses.

I'm sad my Inspector's Eyeglasses are not one of the usable ones. Hubby needs the square reading glasses too. Please put them in!

It's incredibly disappointing to me that my Shaded Spectacles can't be used as Facewear but the False Shaded Spectacles that I didn't bother to grind for because I already had Shaded spectacles are there for facewear and there's currently no way to get the False Shaded Spectacles.

So basically I'm stuck forever without a hat if I want my glasses.

Beards, they can use this feature to just add beards to models, they won’t have same amount of detail hairs get but it would be a workaround, also if players who play female characters want beards they could as well.
