Yes! I'm very curious if this will fix the issue where someone can outlevel the MSQ and get locked out of alliance raid roulette because of alliance raid ilevel requirements for a raid they can't even unlock yet.

TIL there was a word filter. I've never used the feature in the entire time I've been playing. What's it used for? I tend to ignore chat in MMOs unless I'm in a dungeon or raid.

The word filter is being added in Dawntrail. It is used to filter out any chat messages with words you don't want to see in them. For example, the image from the patch notes is filtering the word "potion." So if someone said "hey bro hand me that potion" you wouldn't see that message.

I was very excited to use it to filter out all the obnoxious shout spam from club ads but that's going to be tough with only ten spaces to work with. It needs to be at least 50-100.

First thing I'm filtering is "18+", that should catch about 70% of them.

I agree that it would be nice if there were more spaces, though.

Glancing over them saddened to see yet another short hairstyle added...we are getting Derplanders hair but then the hairstyle from the competition is another short one. Please for fs can they just add some better more feminine longer hair like braids like long ponytails.

The last really long hair was in Shb which was so long go now. I really hope I am wrong and there is more in there. This is the least excited I have been for any expac since I began playing in March 2010.

I feel I have no clue what my character will look like until I get in the game because I am on PS5 and only played around on a old laptop with the benchmark. I have bought the CE for early access but tbh I am feeling less and less excited and usually I would be. Lets hope I am wrong and they add some long hair.

But long hair requires programming skill for clipping and meshes.

only ten terms lmao. guess it wouldn't be a xiv feature if the devs didn't swing and miss every time.

Square implemented most (if not all, not super familiar with all the hairs) of the winners of the 2015 hair design contest, just look for yourself. I'd say most of the 2023 entries will see their way into the game eventually, as well. Slowly, but surely.
