...like physically, like an amalgamation, instead of being an ugly mecha bahamut. If anything, at least they didn't destroy the job completelly like they did to BLM, so there's still a chance they do the right changes in the next expansion... hopefully.

I just wanted to see actual new summons rather than Bahamut enhanced. I don't know how or why they thought this was exciting when it would simply have been better to, say, replace all 3 summons with Ramuh, Shiva and Leviathan on the next cycle.
