Sugestion With the Housing Problem maybe?

So I'm seeing on Twitter that people complaining about FC shells that an FC owns an entire ward and I know that they can never be banneable or it would be difficult to implement a system that allows 1 house per IP. Many players (I could bet the vast majority) including myself would like to be able to have a house and we have been participating religiously in the lottery always and we would not mind at least having a instanced housing but for some reason I feel that it will never happen cause the housing suppose to be social, the money it brings to SE because of being subbed in order to keep your house and with doing something against these fcs scummy people who are doing it would never get the punishment cause they are technically not doing anything against the rules(yet).


I have a suggestion: Different apartment capacity.
That we can upgrade our apartment to a suite or a penhouse which represents the sizes of the houses inside. Yes, I know we won't have a garden but this is already an option on the island. That is it.

Mao likes idea! Is good step towards instanced housings! By way, name of FC whats doings this is highly misleadings. Mao adopteds Dragon Momma and Mao adopteds siblings and all other Dragons Mao knows, say thems has nothings to do with such silly antics!

I definitely think that apartment capacity/upgrades would be an excellent idea and I'm fully in support of it. It would make an excellent gil sink, too, I think.

It doesn't solve the issue of outdoor furnishings (which they continue to give us almost every event) or gardens, though. Island Sanctuary is a good alternative for that, but that's not something you're able to unlock until you've completed Endwalker. That's a LOT of time to put in just to be able to have space to put your outdoor furniture, and I hardly think it's fair to make players go through the entire story before they're allowed that. In that respect, accessible housing with yard space is still an issue.

My suggestion is to completely rework the company workshop in Free Company houses. Only players with permissions granted by their FC are allowed to use the workshop or handle the airships/submarines anyway, so if we were to remove company workshops entirely and refit them to a different aspect of the game (my vote goes to being an unlock from Grand Companies to add a little more content to that extremely neglected area), it would go a long way towards helping fix the housing issue as it would grant access to company workshop facilities and airships/submarines to every player. Those shell FCs are mostly in it for the gil that submarines bring in. If submarines were removed from housing, they'd have no reason (or at least less reason) to hoard entire wards.

I suggested this idea in another thread discussing apartment upgrades, but they could give us a small outdoor balcony (maybe roughly the size of 1/3 or 1/2 of a small plot yard). We should always have access to a space to put some outdoor furnishings, because there's outdoor furniture on the cash shop and it just feels bad whenever there's a new seasonal event and people get rewards they can't even use.

Apartment capacity increase is a good band-aid fix, but ultimately they either need to do a lot more to overcome the gameplay elements that are essentially locked behind housing, be it FC or personal, just as I think they should honestly explore something different from the 'neighborhood' system we have now.

Changes to instanced housing have been suggested every time. They won't do it. They want you to pay for service to keep your house.

That said, geez, How is it even possible for someone to get an entire ward without doing something shady.

By paying for multiple account subscriptions, unfortunately, which is why SE likely won't actually do anything about it.

And just what world is that?

Not certain why people complain about what others do with what was unwanted housing on other worlds that they don't play on.

If you want to make a point, share a screenshot from your congested home world showing the exact same thing happening there.

Edit: just visited that ward (on Marilith). Looks to be a true housing enthusiast and not someone setting up shells just for workshops. Over half the houses have their exteriors fully decorated with some of the rest in progress and the decoration is themed (Highland exteriors with an emphasis on Eastern Wisteria and complementary plants). A few interiors are also open to visitors and decorated, which means the screenshot above is old and outdated since it's showing all houses open to guests when that's not the case.

So we have someone who bought a ward early on because no one else at the time had an interest in buying any of those plots.
