Blue Mage & Dawntrail

Are the most current Blue Mage quests “required” for Dawntrail? I mean I know they are not not, but have the devs said anything about having them done beforehand?

I have not really touched the class since just before endwalker, but I do remember the miner guild associated with blue mage come up in the big collection scene near the end of endwalker. And since new world is much more important to the class I wonder if there is anything I might miss if I have not cleared the class quest for lvl 80

To the best of my knowledge, neither Yoshi-P or any dev has said anything about Blue Mages in regards to Dawntrail, not even as a small comment about "maybe you'll want to do the Blue Mage quests before Dawntrail."

Doesn't mean they won't get referenced somehow, but no confirmation of such.

I hope they let blue mages go to level 100 or make them a regular job with some changes instead of just being a limited job.

They won't ever do this because blue mage doesn't go through the same progression as normal jobs. Imagine trying to balance the job with 8 oGCD, several dots and a bunch of instant kill moves

It would be nice for it to go to level 100 and see what we can do with it.
