No General Chat?

I lost access to the Novice Network today and my FC is very small. I now don't have any way to read world chat or get help answering questions. My free company has been good to me I don't wanna leave them for a BIGGER one just for chat. I feel isolated, is there no way for a world chat? The linkshell thing is not happening

Hello XKE,

There is no real "general chat" that is just the label for the chat box, the world chat is based on your local server/world - You can still use /say /tell/ /shout and /yell if you are stuck and having issues and need help. Also if you meet a Mentor you can ask them to invite you to the Novice Network again. Look for any player with a crown and ask them if they are in the NN and if they can invite you. You can communicate with them using the /tell or /say emote.

What do you mean the linkshell thing isn't happening? I mean Crossworld Linkshells are often quite active and you can find them on Discords like the Balance and Content Achievers. They can end up being almost like a full FC chat and you can join a couple to boost exposure. Join some that do content you like, I haven't checked but I am sure there would also be some general Q&A / friendly chat CWLS.

If you simply wants to rejoins Novice Network then you can simply level up one of your crafting job to the max, and rejoin it again as Crafting Mentor.

• Join FFXIV discord servers. There are genuinely thousands of them. There are hundreds of very large ones, nevermind smaller ones.
• Joining a more active FC.
• Finding some CWLS to join. You may find some likeminded CWLS recruitments in the Fellowship Finder or via the Community Finder at https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...Maduin&type=ls
• Becoming a mentor. To become a battle mentor often takes a year of legitimate, regular play across a variety of job roles and content, or you can speed it up by becoming a trade mentor (which many sprouts do to remain in the Novice Network).

/shout especially like in limsa, gridania, or ul dahl.

there are also crossworld linkshells now keep in mind cross world is only available for within the same DC, but search the community finder cross world linkshells. I am in a couple of and they are pretty great and most times have a discord available to chat too and then there are specific world discords as well.
