Can any1 shed some light on Gridania's arsenal that would be great for MNK as opposed to AF/Wards/Double melded gear?
Should I buy the claws?
Should I get the +8INT Hose?
If any1 has testing/info they would like to share about them let me know ^_^

When you can combine them together to get the set bonus these are some great pieces
Serpent Sergeant's Jackboots +10int
Serpent Sergeant's Belt +3int
Serpent Sergeant's Earring +4 int
Serpent Sergeant's Choker 27atk 15critpower
Grid officer body 10str 10int 120 crit power
Using the Body, Choker, Earring and boots. give you 10str 27int 135crit power(with sanction 15 w/o) 27atk
I have the Jackboots, Choker, belt, and chainmail.
Is the officer body worth getting? The stats are very similar to the chainmail stats apart from the INT on it.
I need to get the earring for the INT+4.
What about the +8 INT hose? Is that worth a purchase?
Also the attack+9 legs....which would be better?
The biggest confusion is the head cirlets. Increases potency of critical hits?

The Officer body in my opinion is the best mnk body in game right now as long as you have sanction. the crit power alone will put a huge boost to howling fist.
For pants you should use a melded felt trousers str/dex. Your number 1 goal for mnk is to cap str.
For head i'm not real sure I use a double meld int hat. (35)
Just a quick question, does ALL gear bought with seals count towards the "Serpent gear" or just gear with "Serpent" in the name.
Also how does the belt stack up against explorer's belt? 3 int vs the 12 crit hit rating.
Edit:
Was looking at, Neck / Boots / Body / Ear
And with those 4 I could get the weapon and get the set bonus, now how does the weapon shape up against ifrit's from what I see it's a +2 damage -5 AP +25 accuracy swap which... looks pretty nice to me personally 5 AP for 25 Accuracy seems... worth it. Opinions?

This is a few days old but to answer Elgorian's question, any gear that has "Serpent" in the name will count towards set bonuses. Serpent Private/Sergeant/Lieutenant gear will all count towards the bonus.
For Belts, I'd recommend the Veteran's Field Belt since it has STR and Accuracy on it. Neither of the belts you suggested are too spectacular, so it's really up to you.
That gear for set bonuses are fine, and I would use those claws over Ifrit's. The Lieutenant Claws have slightly higher DPS which contributes to WS damage, and the large amount of free accuracy from the set bonus is always useful especially for newer bosses like Garuda and gives you more freedom in your gear selection since you can wear more DPS items instead of Accuracy.

Estellios isn't quite right. Any gear bought with seals from Gridania (it won't work with gear that you bought from other companies as a recruit) will count as the bonuses, not just those that have "serpent" in the name. Therefore, the level 25 Gridanian Soldier pieces count, so does the level 50 Gridanian weapons. I have a Gridanian Labrys (axe) and when I use it on my WAR with the Serpent Sergeant Choker and Serpent Sergeant Bracelets, the set bonus activates.
I use this for my MNK:
Serpent Lieutenant's Claws
Temple Circlet
Gridanian Officer's Overcoat
Felt Bracers with STRx2
Felt Trousers with STR/VIT
Serpent Sergeant's Jackboots
Serpent Sergeant's Belt
Serpent Sergeant's Earrings
Explorer's Choker
Rubelite Bracelets
Rubelite Ring+1 x2
With this, i have STR at 341 and INT at 307

Grid MNK gear is really nice for HF ; ;
