Astrologian's aesthetics... But sadly that's not nearly enough to make me want to play them.

If only they had a repurposed Cleric Stance to make soloing better, I'd play them in soloing situations, but not even that healers are good for.

Nowadays I mostly just pop in AST for gpose.

The potential for unpredictable gameplay and having to make smart and quick decisions on the fly to salvage difficult situations. I enjoy the idea of mastering high-stakes/high-pressure problem solving and the fact that each encounter has this novelty factor of potentially being different from the last run, depending on how your team mates deal with the fight.

At the same time I also like helping others in the party but out of all supportive jobs (incl. tanks) I think healer gameplay has the highest potential to enable this kind of problem solving and encounter uniqueness.

This is why I love PvP healers so much. They bring all these things to the table and execute them in a way that is the most fun I have in this game.

I like DPS if they have a complex enough rotation but most of the time I know what's gonna happen in PvE. There my challenge is to perform my choreo under various battle circumstances. If I know both the choreo and the battle mechanics well, then the only uncertainty regarding the outcome is really just the question of how good my concentration is that day.

(In PvP this is not an issue. Since here everything is different with each game I also enjoy DPS a lot in this mode.)

If the PvE game could better incorporate these factors of novelty, unpredictability and decision making/problem solving into their core healer design then I think this would be very helpful (I think they need to add more unpredictability and problem solving from player-unrelated sources).

Also, that moment when you play a well-planned Macrocosmos and can completely invalidate a high-damage raid-wide or bring your PvP party back in an instant? Pure serotonine. I love my time magic.

    I'm not new to healing,
but i'm very passionate about healing
    and very dedicated to it.

I only main healer in MMOs
Because I just can't play DPS/Tank for long period of time.

What i like about healing(heal role):

    - Multi-tasking
    - Decision making
    - Filling up HP bars
    - Planned use of abilities/cds.
    - Consequences.
    - Responsibility.
    - Dispelling
    - Resurrecting players
    - Buffing
    - Group dependent(effect how you will play)
    - Flexible/adjustable

    I used to like Astro...?
Stressful situations are nice and content when it's new and when I'm learning it can be ok

also fast queue times??? I usually would rather queue tank and wait 20s though.

Okay I am playing only WHM and that is my perspective:

As a healer without shielding (and back then no instant heals) it was very fun to learn to pre-cast your heals and time them perfectly so that they land directly after a tank buster or a raidwide, so that the HP bars basically jumped down and back up in a fraction of a second.

Sadly that is pretty much gone. Tanks solve tank busters on their own now. You can throw them a Divine Benision however. Not as much fun but it is something. And even if the tank takes damage you have more than enough instant heals available that you no longer need to pre-cast a heal.

But you can still pre-cast a heal for raid busters. And I do. A well timed Medica 2 + Assize or Afflatus Rapture right after will instantly heal everyone back up. And the HoT from Medica 2 will fill the last percent of the HP bar.
But of course using Medica 2 is a dps loss. And holding Assize to use it for healing as well.

I liked ressource management. Balancing Cure and Cure 2, fishing for Freecure proccs and keeping Regen running on the tank was fun.

That's basically all gone now. You only use your strongest heals all the time now. Tanks most often don't need a Regen anymore, but I still like to use it from time to time - even if it is a dps loss to use it.

I like to find ways to make the most out of my Lilybell.

Timing it perfectly so it can cover more than one raidwide or placing it in the middle of the arena when we all have to spread for splash AoEs and I can't cover all people with my heals by myself due to range issues.
Or using it as a form of mini LB when everyone messed up and the next raidwide is coming. That 1000 potency AoE heal is handy to recover the impossible.

And of course what I like about all casters: Optimizing movement and "positionals" for mechanics and - as a healer - also for AoE heals.

I like to optimize my healing - not my dps.

Using the right heal at the right time.

And yes I like to use my GCDs, even if that means I will only cast 148 Glares at the end and not 152.

Plus the big canes have style.

Queue times are nice as well. Playing the game is more fun than standing around waiting.

And I like my WHM exclusive headband.

It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

I've been a healer main in MMORPGs for 16 years now.

I like that I need to pay attention to more health bars than just the boss.

I like that it's reactive in choosing what ability I'm going to use next rather than just following a rotation. Is there a need to heal someone or can I squeeze in some DPS because the party's HP is good?

I like having the ability to salvage a potential wipe if things start going wrong (tank DCs, new player panics and drops potentially deadly mechanics in middle of the party, etc.) instead of only being able to continue to DPS and hope things turn out okay.

I like that there's the potential for a different experience each time I fight a boss because what I need to do will change depending on party members and their own experience/skill level.

Let's see. What I liked about healers:

Juggling multiple DoTs in between heals and pet Management

Being able to (although it might not be optimal) Frequently buffing the rest of the Party in meaningfull ways.

Or are we talking things that will still be a thing in DT?
    Nothing.

As a Sage main, I love being able to chill during duties and farming Toxicon stacks.
Makes me feel really good planning for a raid wide and getting three popping at the same time.
