Exactly! Only positive vibes here.I feel that's a really good phrase to sum up my feelings too. To me it's been a peaceful, tranquil experience. I've had fun, laughed and made new friends. The 6.0 story was phenomenal, the glamour designs have been amazing and the fights engaging. Sure the post-MSQ story was bland and some content like relics, island and variant dungeons disappointed, but these downsides just gave me more time to enjoy other games and hobbies.
Goodbye, Endwalker!
The pacing was definitely one of the big issues. It took until ~84 for the Final Days to even start, and I think we only actually saw it in Thavnair and Garlemald. The starstorm in 5.3 did a better job with the idea because it affected every overworld skybox in Norvrandt. And I watched the Footfalls Cinematic right before I started Endwalker. To this day I still think that cinematic was incredible - I recall watching it that first time. The music and the lyrics, the promise of a 'end of the world' scenario story. The emphasis on the moon and the question of it's role in the story, not to mention the question of why the Warrior of Light was on the moon - alone no less! I was completely blown away by it and couldn't wait to see how it would all translate into the story.
But even as someone who very much enjoyed Endwalker.... I don't think the story quite lived up to what the cinematic portrayed. 'The Final Days' should've been a world-changing, almost apocalyptic, event - but it doesn't feel as if it had as big an impact, or long-term consequence, on the world as Dalamud/Bahamut did overall.
Anyway - goodbye Endwalker. Count me as one who thinks the positives outweigh the negatives, and who'll look back fondly on the journey you took me on.
Elpis was not necessary; they could've told that story in a cutscene while focusing on the final days in our world more, more fleshed out and more involved. The pacing was definitely one of the big issues. For those wanting to put this on ishikawa let me remind you who the producer and director is; he's the one quoted as "I don't like staying the same locations when making content, the more the scene changes, the better." Yoship has what I call a SNES Mario game mentality where the more the scenery changes the better the game's designed. This type of thinking goes against rpg game design, the longer you stay in the same scenery the more in depth and compelling story you can tell. As for where to get that quote? It's from way back in the heavensward/stormblood days; I'll have to get back to the source of it. I'll find it at work when I'm bored. Got Elden Ring to enjoy today.

Elipis was the only decent part of the story tbh, Garlimold destoryed we get a date with sexy zenos but not in our body ANIMA WAS A DAMN DUNGEON FIGHT not a trail (im still really pissed off about that), the other areas really dont matter much at all until 85 outside of comedyElpis was not necessary; they could've told that story in a cutscene while focusing on the final days in our world more, more fleshed out and more involved.

Thank god it's over.
It was a great expansion, and much needed albeit 'rough' closure to a very long journey; i look forward to this beginning of a new one; hopefully another 10 years.
Journey to all fish: 1383/1729 (348 remaining) [79%]
'Good riddance' is probably more apt.

Goodbye Endwalker! You had ups and downs. You made me laugh and cry. Looking forward to finding things I enjoy in the next adventure.
Good riddance. While I enjoyed the throwback to FFIV with Golbez and them, the EW story was pretty dang bland honestly. Nothing good or bad worth standing. I hope SE can build a better story now with Dawnwalker and start listening to their player base a little bit more in terms of gameplay, lore, and its ok to cut the leash with old npcs that been around 10 years we don't need them as central to the story going forward but I have my doubts. So here is hoping DT can hopefully turn stuff around.
Goodbye, Endwalker. You were....uh....
There were ups and downs, but after two and a half years of arguing about it up and down these forums, I'm just looking forward to moving on.
