    Au Ra Dawntrail Updated Benchmark Feedback

    Race: Au Ra
    Type: Male
    Face: 3

    Issue 1 is the scraggly/jagged scales that are still present even in the updated benchmark

    Issue 2 is that Jaw 4 is longer and sloping downwards, whereas the original is straighter at the bottom. I understand rounding it out, but it would be nice if it were closer to its original shape. The jagged scales can also be seen here more clearly.

    Issue 3 is that the nose scales have been moved on the face, are much thinner, and are a lot closer to the outer scales now. The face looks weird with the main features having been shifted downwards. The nose scales and outer scales originally have more space between them. The benchmark face scales are also pulled back more from the face, so they are covering less room now. It would be better if they covered the face and were shaped more towards the original shape.

    Issue 4 is the changes in the scale patterns, and more jagged edges. Parts of the scales have been completely formed, or are oddly tipped at the edges.

    Issue 5 is the discoloration between the body and the face. It makes the neck seam move obvious, and the skin seems warmer while the face is taking on a gray-ish tone of color.


    Issue 6 is the lips (Mouth 1). The ends of the lips are curving down, whereas originally they were straight. Now the mouth looks like its frowning a bit, as opposed to being a neutral straight line.

    I understand that some things are going to change regardless, and that if some of these things aren't already planned for 7.0, it will be too late to adjust them by Dawntrail's Release. I hope at least some of them can be fixed, at a later date if need be.

    I'm sorry, but what? This is the most minute nitpicky thing I've ever seen, the images on the right are FAR better looking than the left. 2. They FULLY re-made all character models, this was explained repeatedly in multiple live letters and fanfest explaining that there would be some minor differences as a result of all characters now being made from the same character model whereas before ALL characters had unique models. The decision to do this is to make further gear, etc made easier to apply across the model and to reduce asset file sizes in the game as a whole and as a result its not going to be a perfect 1:1 model from the old graphics to new. ALL of the races have these slight differences, but I can tell you I did not take screen shots to make sure every scale and minute detail was a one to one recreation in higher graphics. I expected differences due to the process used on character models for the graphics update.
    If you have an issue, this is WHY everyone is getting a free fantasia because they knew some people may not like the changes as a result of the new character models.
