Everyday i'm Hamleting!!

This is by no means a trolling thread, merely sharing my experience over the past few days.

Started doing Hamlets with my LS over the past week, and during this last weekend we had a 72 hour Hamlet bender. During my time online I took part in around 21 Hamlets scoring an average of 63k per run, now what drops did I get for all my hard work? Apart from grief from the wife about playing so much I got 3 stupid head pieces that dropped every run!! Not a single seal in sight.

As for Hamlet itself it’s a great idea as every discipline gets to be involved, but I do have a couple of little issues.

Our party setup was:
WHM, WHM, WHM, DoL, DoL, DoH, DoH, PLD. By far the best setup for getting 63k+ every time.

WHM: you’re nothing but a cure monkey for 25 mins.
DoL: you run in circles collecting pots for 25 mins.
DoH: you run in circles making stuff for 25 mins.
PLD: you run in circles being chased by the NM.

Seriously SE do you think you could come up with a system that requires a little thought? After 4 Hamlet runs my brain was numb and I was on auto point. I crave for something more challenging and honestly if it were enjoyable stimulating content I would give it my time.

Due to the lack of seals and mind numbing boredom induced by Hamlets I have decided to quit seeking a relic weapon and wait till 2.0 content to see if anything better can be gained. I have also come to the conclusion that anyone who actually has a relic weapon has no real life what so ever.

P.S I have plenty of Gil that I will be holding on to thanks SE, I won’t be pumping my millions into a weapon that is going to be out of date 3 months from now. I can wait

You chose for the grind. If you want fast seals , get into top 3.

Our ls setup is Dol Dol Doh Doh Whm Whm (War Drg or Pld Brd, depending on if it's Aleport or not) and runs take 20 min tops.

Granted your summary is accurate that Hamlet is mind numbing, no one made your LS do a 72 hour run marathon.

Pace yourselves, 2-3 runs a night is quite tolerable.

I am myself 8/9 on seals and just slightly over 100 runs on mostly PUGs, on just 2-3 runs a night + a few more extra runs during weekends.

No one knew what to do the first few weeks after it came out. It is only boring now because the strategy has been refined to farming status by the community.

Any relic/legendary class weapons in 2.0 and beyond will almost certainly require this current relic as a base for upgrades, so I doubt you can wriggle yourself out of it. The requirements might change but good luck on getting that any easier.

I'd call that annoying! I have crashed a few times but never near the end. I have always been able to log in before the end and collect the pathetic winnings :<

I could not agree with you more. I think I walk the line between the two to be honest. all DoM DoW 50 with a DoL and a DoH at 50, I have all AF but that was simple and took a little over a week a few Ifrit/Mog weapons. so my character is fairly up there. only thing really missing is the relic weapon. my only complaint was 21 runs and no seals, yet a member on our party got 3 in around 6 runs and he was not on the rankings list they were completly random drops. how is that fair?
