    Honestly I think the easiest way to fix displacement is to make the backflip player locked instead of boss locked because then if you die with it, every time it would be your fault instead of getting unlucky with targeting jank.

    You can jank yourself with pretty much any rotation or ability. For example, if it was based off player rotation but still did damage, you would swing to face the boss and then backflip. Everyone who's played DRG or RPR on legacy controls has likely backflipped themselves at least once in the wrong direction, as well.

    The control scheme in FFXIV is really, really bad for facing in general. You either have unlimited movement but facing issues with legacy, or perfect facing but jank movement while on the move with standard, as well as bad backpedaling. It's just kind of sad how notoriously bad it is and it still hasn't been fixed.
