    Shared Glamours

It's probably been talked to death about, but I'd just like to drop a new thread about this.

Though people can say "There's no need to have Alts in FFXIV since you can be every class on one character." Yet as a roleplayer there's an appeal to having multiple characters to pick from, and it's always such a pain to farm the same glamours you used on another character all over again, or have to repurchase online store appearances.

So the best solution would be to have a shared glamour system where you can store a glamour item on one character and use it on any other characters you have.

It would be the best solution. Other games have similar systems, like WoW, GW2, ESO where unlocking a transmog/glamour is stored on the account and not on the character.
But those systems don't require a "Physical" item but simply unlocks the look in a.. let's say a digital collection book.
I guess that FFXIV requirement to have a "physical" item is what limits the possibility of a shared glamour system.
And yes, I know the items are put into a dresser. But that the items are mostly still tied/locked to the character who got them and the glams are only there because you put a "physical" item into the dresser.
Where the other games don't require the item in your possession anymore after you unlock the transmog/glamour.

Ofc, I have no idea how the systems works so I'm just talking from how I think it might.
And SE might've not even tried to implement a shared system so maybe I'm completely wrong here.

This is a pretty good idea. Dont see them doing it but it would certainly make the game more alt friendly

It's true that you need the physical item, however a way around that would be to create a linked system for the glamour dresser/armoire, that would still keep the physical item necessity intact but would allow access across the account.

Think of it kinda like a shared bank, you deposit an item that can then be used by anyone so long as the level/class requirement is met.

Something tells me the tech behind it all can't handle it.

It would be nice to have such a system here. The one they have in WoW is great just have to "bind" an item to you and it's added to the Transmogrification (WoW Glamour) catalog, can then be utilized whenever.

If items can't be shared between accounts directly, then I would like to see some way of passing untradable items between characters, even if it's at a really restricted rate. Even one item a week or something.

Just copy wow/gw2's collection system for armor
accountwide and you don't need to have limited slots. just check the box that you've collected an item on your account, and done
