I laughed at the bold part because there has been numerous complaints on forums about drop rates even before hamlet and SE hasn't really done anything about it.

Relic will also be here post 2.0... what he meant by that statement was more along the lines of content that WONT be available post 2.0.. Things like ifrit primal and moogle primal weapons are likely to be on that list.. He is sticking to his word, and relics AREN'T for everyone.

I don't understand the OP. What have the 7th umbral era story to do with relict weapon?Source:http://www.1up.com/features/ffxiv-in...nix-fallen-mmoBut again, that doesn't mean we're going to forget about our current version players. We're going to listen to the voices of the players, look at the forums, adjust drop rates to reduce as much stress as possible for the players so they can experience this grand finale, the Seventh Umbral Era story, that ushers in 2.0
Hi yoshi I just want you to stand by your word
The relic quest has been out for almost two months now and there have been no dev replies in regards to the relic quest double melding stage. Can you atleast acknowledge it is severely unbalanced?

Also Babydoll I am actually kind of offended that you think that just any crafter can go about spitting Darksteel weapons without any sort of skill or effort.
Or that any DoL can gather those items required without a lot of effort himself either.
Actually I am very stumped that you people seem to believe that the battles are the only part that require skill :/
I guess it shows the forum community has no love for DoH and DoL. You hear more about people complaining that double-melding is luck-based and costly than you hear gatherers/crafters complaining the synths are too difficult or the nodes rarely give +1s.
Where the hell do you think the darksteel weapons come from? That they're bought from an NPC so that Gil is the ONLY portion of it? You say as if 'I spent 4M Gil in darksteel weapons' actually meant that THAT is the effort spent on those weapons.
Funny thread.
The OPs issue is with the fact that 2 relics use the same materia and it's a legit issue. Do you know how much harder/expensive it makes to obtain said weapon because of this. The materia itself goes for nearly 2mil maybe more but the fact that the demand is pretty much double of all other relic materia is what hurts it.
The only way they can really remedy it though is by giving 2 options for "melded" materia since if they change it from x to x then a person who may have had one ready for when they needed it would now have a useless weapon which they spent 8mil to make.
Like, what they could do is make it where they adjust it and come 2.0 the old materia won't work anymore, so those who alrdy bought the old requirements for melding would have until 2.0 to turn their weapon in for the relic reborn quest which should be more than enough time to complete the first set of requirements 9 seals and 25k GC, and maybe the beastman boss.
But ya some info on this would be nice since it is such an odd oversight to have such an imbalanced concept as to which relic should have which materia. It's like they threw darts at a board and went with those choices, and the ACC + materia hit twice so they put it on two weapons lol.

The fact that 2 relics (relics RELICs relics relics ReLiCs) use the same materia is the only thing I think is unfair about the quest. Considering the implied longevity of the weaps (yoshi confirmed they are up-gradable later), I think the amount of work required is acceptable.
Why are YOU POOR?? it takes 1 run of leve to get 40k and on top you get item that sell for 1-5k each...
so the reason you are poor is not a good reason
