In summary, DC travel and even world travel is getting turned off for several patches around Dawntrail's launch for Aether, Crystal, and Primal.

Let's take this opportunity to embrace the communities on our respective data centers, and re-learn that, yes, we can actually do all content when we stick together.

(Note: I also believe that DC travel as SE implemented it incentivizes clustering on a single data center, and the players are not at fault for doing so. But SE seems disinclined to adjust their implementation, so this is the next best thing.)
