    Ranked Crystalline Conflict should reset weekly.

    Ranked Crystalline Conflict should reset weekly- or monthly- as the current system is not working. The first week of the new season floods the queue times with players, until the majority get the rank they want then drop the mode. Win trading and illegal plugin use makes climbing outside of a very short window extremely difficult which causes Ranked PvP to die off extremely quickly.

    If Ranked CC reset on a weekly basis, it would allow players who want to play Ranked or grind Commendation Crystals much more feasible. Change it so the portraits you get for each season to instead be a standard Ranked Crystalline Conflict portrait.

    Then, to encourage ranked play that actually rewards you for doing well, lock special PvP armor (Hellhound, Fierce Tyrant, False Monarchy, Archfiend) as something that can be purchased with Commendation Crystals. Players will still need to do well in PvP to unlock those armors (rather than spamming Frontline or CC, which they get points for regardless if they win or lose which completely negates the need for someone to be 'good' to unlock exclusive items) since Commendation Crystals requires you to be in Diamond or Crystal ranking.

    As it stands, Ranked PvP has an exceedingly short lifespan for each season. There needs to be some sort of change if SE wants Ranked to have any sort of staying power. Failing that, let us queue for Ranked outside of our home world.

    So I may have overlooked something but, it resets every week, so nobody would even try until the very last week of a season to lock in their rank and rewards?

    Rewards are given on a Seasonal basis. The current Ranked season started in 6.58 and will end in 7.0. The game mode is currently dead, because its been so long since 6.58. If the Ranked season reset (meaning people get their commendation crystals for placing high) on a weekly basis, then the game mode would be far more active. People would be climbing every week to try and earn the different portraits, commendation crystals, and with my suggestion above- PvP Armor sets.

    The current 'reset' that happens for Ranked CC doesn't actually do or mean anything.

    If the ranked season resets on a weekly basis, when do you get the rewards? Every week? So, if I get this straight, you'd have seasons battlepasses that last as current, but the ranking would reset every week. So as soon as you reach the rank you want within a week, people can just stop bothering until next battlepass? How does this change anything?

    Unless you're asking for a new seasonal battlepass every week...?

    Based on Season 1 when Ranked remained competitive through the whole Season, it is an issue of sufficient and interesting rewards.

    Long seasons might have some issues outside of the very top and very bottom of ranks too when people achieve their peak but can't really break further, so having scaling rewards for matches played at different ranks could also make them more meaningful.

    Just increasing Ranked match win/loss base tomes, exp etc. by 2x compared to casual and then scaling harder up for each rank with maybe some little extras sprinkled in would already help a bit.

    However without big ticket items, there's very little reason to keep competing once you hit top 100, getting the extra commendation crystals is like the final cherry on top and everything else is repeated garbage.

    Weekly is too extreme in my eyes. It would effectly force some people to no-life CC to get high ranks (some very good players can probably get there easily but other people take longer to climb) only to lose it the next week. That could quickly create a cycle of burnout. A monthly reset seems more reasonable to me but Valence's points regarding rewards and the battle pass are valid concerns.

    If I wanted weekly resets, I'd just play a game that respects the amount of time in it to get better at PvP. Oh right, fighting games exist.

    I know this wasn't mentioned, but i'm not referring to the Series Malmstones. Yes, I mean the Series Rewards- more specifically- the Commendation Crystals and the Portraits. No, I'm not asking for a new/different portrait each time. What I'm saying is that it is NOT feasible to grind Commendation Crystals (the red ones; not the blue ones). I'm not asking for a battlepass.

    What I'm suggesting is that by having a weekly reset, players can actually climb the ranks easier due to higher player count. Commendation Crystals could then be used to buy PvP armor such as the Hellhound, Fierce Tyrant, Archfiend, Shadowcleave, as well as the Augmented Hellhound weapons. Those rewards require you to place in Diamond or higher. You could actually play PvP and have substaintial rewards through that system and could augment all of the Hellhound weapons for your jobs if you were good enough and played often enough.

    It would lock people who want to grind to top ranks to ONLY play Crystalline Conflict. You're locking players out of all pve content because their rank would just fall off, assuming that they decide to listen to the few players that want more rewards in CC ranked.

    Your solution would fix the problem and create an even worse one for something that isn't actually fun to do outside of casual play. That's not even mentioning how it would help people selling ranks because it resets every week. It's just winning the lottery for a very select few and making it a waste of time for everyone else. Again, fighting games exist which are a far, far better alternative to simply spamming PvP 24/7.

    You wouldn't need to spam it 24/7. You would have an entire week to get the rank you would want. Then, if you want to get more rewards over time, you can easily do so. If they introduced rank decay, people would just wait until the end of the season before they start grinding to avoid that. Players would not be locked out of PvE content, because it would only be one week as opposed to several weeks with the current system. If it resets every week, there isn't as much of a pull to sell ranks since you have an easier time to get them. There's a higher volume of rewards, meaning that there is less pressure to grind it consistently without FOMO.

    I'm speaking from the perspective of a former Elder Scrolls Online PvP'er. ALL of their PvP rewards reset weekly. It promotes competition and involvement because it is now attainable.
