My husband came up with an idea involving Duty Trusts and the Duty Support for Dungeons. We usually are playing during the slow times. Which when we decide to play our DPS over the Tank/Healer, usually when really tired and just want to "mash buttons" while going through MSQ 4/8 man Duties. DPS know that you can wait upwards of 30 minutes for a group, and that is if the Tank and or Healer, since my husband and I are playing DPS, decide to drop from the Duty queue for reasons. A solution might be to have the duty support be able to fill the blank spaces for the 2-3 player groups. I don't like soloing, I play either DPS or Healer most of the time. My husband has PTSD and dislikes (putting it mildly) random strangers because he doesn't trust easily anymore. There are times he can handle being in an all PC group, then there are days where he just wants to be able to play with me without dealing with strangers. With how the MSQ has been lately feeling like every other quest is a duty (whether solo or group), he started thinking that having a duty support that fills the empty spaces in a group would be something nice. He also dislikes having to disband just to do MSQ story, and that is a lot, almost 80% of the time disbanded when we hopped on to play the MSQ together.
We then turned it towards the fact we tend to play during the slower parts of the day for the English servers. That because we live on a farm and are busy most of the day, with only an hour at least, maybe three hours at most to hop on and play. Other people might see being able to play with a friend and the queue is extremely slow and time to play is at a premium, like students or working a job and have an hour or two to play before bed/class/work. Being able to group with a friend or two, go through a few MSQ or quests, jump into a 4/8 duty without sitting in a queue because of option to fill the space in the group with a NPC. This could be good for 2-3 players for 4 man duty, or for a 2-7 players group for the 8 man duty. This would make at least some players happy if they don't feel up to trusting random players to go through a MSQ duty, or if the smaller group wants to learn the duty before going in it with random people. This is especially true for Tanks and Healers who are returning. I know I took the time to play through a few older dungeons with the NPC groups to get back into healing and to adjust my hotkeys since I am playing on a new computer and didn't save my character files from the old computer. Side note of allowing players to stay grouped during the solo sections of msq.
