And to those telling others to go play another job why would i be here asking if i wanted to play something else? this is literally the only dps with a single sword holstered to their waist nothing else compares to that aesthetic reaper is a scythe wielder yet swings around like its outta fashion when in reality no one can do such a feet with such a heavy blade ditto to dragoon their lances/spears probably weigh a whole lot as their purpose is intended to gouge or pierce not slash or cut
and monk is just martial arts which in itself should be faster than someone carry a heavy lance or scythe around let alone carry two short swords like ninja or now rogue 2.0(viper) but yet its not how convenient.
and while we speak of convenience isn't it funny how ninja which is also a blade practitioner has not only near instant casts when all depictions of such always show them weaving chi(ki) with their hands in order to "cast" ninjutsu
seriously i'm convinced ya'll are just haters of samurai and don't want it to outpace or outperform your own "preferences"

Because the developers have a track record of ruining and homogenising jobs when players complain about the things that make jobs different.
I want to use a greatsword carrying job but you can only play Dark knight. But Dark knight has had it's job identity transplanted into Warrior multiple times, because of repeated complaints by War players that Dark knight did something better than Warrior. Without accounting for their own advantages, to where it is now just a downgrade and everyone wants drk reworked (again). Not only that, they're further homogenising and simplifying the tanks in Dawntrail.
I don't want this to happen on other roles as well. If you don't like having a cast time, maybe try another melee job. We don't need to make everything the same.
There are people who like having the cast times, do we just remove the cast times to make you happy and just tell them to quit?

And no, Sam is actually one of the most popular, and powerful jobs still.

your bias is showing clearly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯i dont hear your complaints about the other melee here at all you're just lashing out on samurai because i stated an unpopular opinion about melee jobs which are meant to be dishing the damage non stop should have no cast timers whatsoever. we have literal other jobs which are magic based where casting is apart of its identity or in other word evoking/enchantment. SO WHY DONT YOU go play one of them if you love casting mechanics so much? hm? funny how that works when it reversed on you huh
